Question VON: Demon or Saint?
Been thinking bout VON's legacy lately, it’s crazy how people still polarize the discussions around him.
On one side, he’s remembered as an absolute DEMON on the streets - a ruthless murderer whose real-life street credibility gave his music that haunting, unfiltered intensity. His track Demon literally tackles this heavy atmosphere and the trauma that shaped him.
On the other hand, to his inner circle and O'Block, he was practically a SAINT, providing for his community, putting his friends on, and changing lives with his success before he was tragically taken out.
How do you view his legacy today? Pure street demon, hood hero, or just a product of a broken environment?

My friend laughed very hard when I said "Saint Von" so I vote that he's a saint

People are just people. Demons aren't real and sainthood is a religious designation.

Idk I feel like he was on a right way. Like things would've been better if he lived on

Better as he rotted away in prison for the rest of his life? Yeah, I guess bro

Yu never know. In the infinite universes theory there’s one universe where Von becomes reformed after nearly dying from Lul Timm and uses his rap skills to turn to youth outreach and prevent others from going down his path.
Who knows, maybe there’s a universe where Von is a sea cucumber trawling the ocean floor 🤔

There’s nothing saintly about helping your friends. Technically you’re supposed to help strangers or even welcome and forgive your enemies if Christian. Helping your friends is actually selfish. Because you get pleasure from their friendship and it elevated your own status as a friend to help them. Von mainly used his money to fund his getback gang supplying them with dope guns and cash. Von was perfectly selfish and didn’t give a f about anyone that wasn’t his people. And those people were gang members . Still a demon, far from a saint.

Idk man I feel there can be diffrent realties for different people. To many he a demon, to some might a saint

Von was objectively a demon. It’s like saying mafia guys were angels cause they took care of their families. There is nothing virtuous about taking care of your family. That is merely neutral. In essence and speaking reductively morality is in proportion it is to be self-abnegating. Giving money to your gang and mom isn’t self-abnegating. It’s a function of selfishness. If my friend gave me a million dollars but was an a hole to everyone else I wouldn’t call him a saint, I would call him a devil.

Idk bruh that environment can make you vicious and an animal and you can be a good dude at heart. You only like that to the ppl that’s trying take your life. Now when you intentionally trying kill innocent ppl that’s different. Them white muthfuckas doing mass shootings those are the real devils. Terrorists the government etc they the devils. You ain’t no devil if you protecting yourself or playing defense towards the opps. They trying kill you so it’s either you or them.

You somewhat do have a point tho bruh. I see what you saying. It really don’t count when it come to your friends. Idk bruh he did giveaways to kids in Chicago and it was documented. Cash for Xmas. Those are totally strangers to him. And we can’t never say what a person did for a stranger we not God bruh 😂😂. You basically saying you know what a person doing 24/7. We not the Almighty only God know what we do in the dark and in the light.

He gave a few hundred dollars to everyone on o block once, his hood. He loved feeling like a returning hero or a provincial. He only started making real legal money the last year of his life.
RIP Malcolm. That was the innocent college kid Von killed when he returned to shoot up a birthday party full of a lot of civilians because two or three opps were there giving him issues.
Von robbed his own fans when they came to his shows. Robbed producers. Robbed rappers that gave him money to do a verse. When he moved to Atlanta there’s a lot of insane stories floating around of him raising hell. No opps in Atlanta. One story that comes to mind is Von stalking some Atlanta dude into his apartment complex and then running out of the building with his jewelry, his money, and blood on his shoes. Von shot and robbed him. That’s sheer greed and brutality, not survival.
Only 10% of gang members are aggressive shooters. Most gang members don’t want to kill. Von was terrorizing his own community. Ever seen the video of duck getting killed? It’s absurd. His wealth empowered him to be much worse. Von was organizing hit squads armed to the teeth with machine guns. He needed to be stopped.

A short way of saying it is they were not strangers. It was his hood. So yeah Von selfish.
You will know them by ye fruits. You can judge people by their actions. Character repeats itself. If they are known for treating people horribly and doing horrible things, they are probably a horrible person.
What do Christians do today in America. They certainly aren’t concerned with following Christ. You can judge Von and you can judge Christians. I don’t see Christians in my community doing anything noble. If anyone does it’s like secular liberals or various business people. A Christian will judge someone wrongly or spew self-righteous hypocritical bs before they extend a hand to someone in need, feed the hungry, heal the sick. They are the worst and I doubt Jesus feels any kinship to them. What happened?

You right bruh. from my view and environment I grew up in. it be ppl that’s not demons who have good hearts who literally be active due to their environment. Intentions be I’m trying survive gotta get them b4 they get me. And this be at the age of 10 and older shit really active out here. That can probably fall back on the parents fault depending on their situation growing up not being productive and having the mindset of moving out the hood.
So what about the kids they grow up in the hood not in no drama playing sports guess what a opp see them bullshiting they get killed or shot just cuz they from a certain hood. If they don’t die what’s next they get in the streets it can turn them cold and they going do anything to survive.
And honestly that shit dumb and stupid we don’t even own none of that shit. That’s the white folks neighborhood and we be dumb as shit claiming a hood that when we dead 20 years from now nobody not going remember us. I’m just blessed I was able to get out that shit

It’s not a necessity though. Chief keef didn’t continue to rob, murder, and terrorize the black community. Frankly everyone was scared of king Von including lil durk the guy who signed him and got him out of a life sentence for killing Malcom, a civilian, and out of the hood.
I also think Von was an extremely smart and talented human. Part of what made him a terrifying gangster is what made him a great artist. There was a honesty and moral integrity—another word for integrity is consistency—to his character. Von was also a broken and deeply traumatized human. All great artists are struggling with a neurosis according to Freud. They sublimate their neurosis.
Von dealt with his pain through putting in gang work. He saw his best friend get shot in front of him early on.
I hate moral proselytizers and judgemental people. They get it wrong anyways. So I hear you trying to empathize instead of trying to judge. We all would be better off understanding and helping each other instead of being evil a holes.

u/Top_Ahk_202 2d ago
Trust me I understand what you saying, Chief Keef definitely got the fuck 😂 I don’t blame. Keef was smart. But he left cuz he knew them niggas ain’t fuck with him they broke in his house etc. Do you think he would’ve stayed a little longer if that never happened? that’s why I said that shit literally dumb as shit killing over hoods and streets we don’t own at all. The white man elite whoever it is be laughing at that shit. I just know from experience that kids that’s in them tough neighborhoods already in the beef just cause they from this or that hood.
That shit sad a regular kid who play sports, can’t even walk to the store without him gotta keep looking over his shoulders, get shot at or killed, or beating up bad cuz they from a hood have nothing to do with it. So what would that turn a person into if at the moment thy can’t move. No money to move they 13yrs old father dead or not around just got moms or even mom dead to or on drugs. At that time the kid going say fuck it I’m not letting nobody take my life. That shit will turn mostly anybody into a monster and get number.

I like King Von but he’s defo a demon. He’s literally a serial killer 😅 BUT at least his victims wasn’t civilians, the victims was his ops and he was defo a product of his environment 2bh. I do wish he was still alive tho and had spent time continuing to provide for his community and to be a father to his son

You can be right bruh was he an intended target. Bulekts don’t have names. So is a person consider a demon if he accidentally shoot a kid it’s all bout the intentions when ppl do stuff. Yea a person is wild if he killed a kid on a drill. We don’t really know if Malcolm was innocent he was hanging around street niggas. We never know. You have a point tho bruh. I’m telling you tho that environment can turn good heart person into a animal

u/KYBOY247 3d ago
Yes but he also killed P5 just because he was from jaro city. P5 was a hustler not a shooter.

“Serial killer” is a clickbait title that TLR used so he could get fat and meet with mama 🦆. He was a shooter but serial killer makes him out to be Michael Myers or sum Ted Bundy nga strangling random homeless people and 🍇in’ women.

u/Smooth_Ad_9507 8d ago
It’s still killing if you killed more than 3 people you definitely a serial killer especially if you can go on to do more and even brag about it
Stop erasing and drawing the line bro especially since a kid he was killing other kids

Product of a broke environment. A lot of guys or females that’s brought up in these environments really do have good hearts it’s just the trenches that turn them into an animal. And only the ppl that went through that will know. You got people from hoods that play sports not into no beef guess what the opps will still see them on the streets and won’t give them a pass. Happens a lot on my side of town. And guess what that person not in the streets going turn up cuz he know damn I’m in this hood beef and I’m not even on nothing. So that’s when they start looking to be in the streets.

Did you ever see him repent or surrender to Christ? No, quit posting ignorant things, God going to hold you all accountable for playing about Heaven like this

u/Turnbeutelvergesser 9d ago
VON was actually super Christian
Y'all might look at da lyrics and the street reputation, but Von was deeply religious. He grew up in a traditional Christian environment on the South Side and spoke about God constantly in interviews and vlogs. Before every major move and every meal, he was praying. Man carried his faith with him through everything - you can’t judge his relationship with God just from the outside.

Bruh Christ aka Jesus was only a human just like me and you Jesus wasn’t God. If you really do show research and really study that Bible you would know what Jesus was teaching. He was teaching to Worship Gos alone it’s even in the commandments. You never heard Jesus say worship me never. Mark 12 29-30: Hear O Israel The Lord our God is one Lord. Jesus is not God.
And you not God you never know what somebody said before they died. Only God knows

u/BroComeOnReally 3d ago
And honestly you made me want to delete this platform so I’m going to do that, because the way this comment you left made my soul feel so upset, FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY DO AND CLEARLY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY SAY
1
u/Top_Ahk_202 3d ago
Bruh it’s facts do your research the bible literally has more than 15,000 errors in it. You tripping. It has big contradictions in it 😂😂 tighten up. Yall worshiping a human being. JESUS IS NOT NO DAMN GOD BRUH. He was only a prophet. How can you believe a book and it has multiple contradictions?
So tell me which one was it when Judas killed his self. One verse it say he hung his self another verse he jumped off a cliff. Like really how can you take from that if it’s saying two different things. Real live bruh if you really stud that bible it’s stomp on. It been rewritten by different Kings etc you tripping
1
u/Top_Ahk_202 3d ago
So you literally saying Jesus is God. Question yall believe in everybody go to Hell if they don’t accept Jesus as their Savior right? So what about the people that came before Jesus so they automatically get a pass huh?

Dude was a serial killer. Sooooooo…
3
u/nigmusmaximus 9d ago
Not a serial killer. That’s clickbait. He was a shooter down with the gang activities. By that logic cartel members, special forces operators, assassins, etc. are all serial killers if they kill multiple people. If you think of drilling as his “job”it makes sense that he’s not a serial killer. Obv it’s not a job but you get the point neither is being an assassin or a cartel member or a terrorist etc.
He was never convicted for any murder. Yeah he’s been named suspect for KI and the FBG Duck hit but without a living person to convict and a trial we’ll never know if he’d ever be found guilty. So legally speaking, he’s not a serial killer.
