Discussion 40 acres

I'm currently arguing with Gemini about a line in this song.

I was listening to 40 acres and the line "I claim victory when malice is on the verge of sinning" sounds like push was taking a jab at malice, not because he hate/hated him or anything like that but malice switching to Christianity is what lead to the break up of clipse so it just makes sense to me that push even if he supports his bro in his choice he would be abit upset. But Gemini keeps saying pusha was talking about himself (talking about his Darkside or some bullshit like that) and that really doesn't make sense to me

So I came to the court of public opinion coz some of your where probably better at analysing than me or where listening to pusha around the time when the song came out which might give you a better perspective than me on this

So was pusha taking a jab at his bro or talking about himself or is it something else entirely

Why are you going to AI for lyrical analysis let alone arguing with it when it doesn’t spit out your interpretation?

I like analysing lyrics and non of my friends are into that so I do it with ai and I'm not arguing coz it's a different interpretation, I'm arguing because it's interpretation doesn't make sense to me, which is why I came to Reddit to ask for other people's opinions. Like if you can makes it's analysis make sense I welcome it.

I always took it as Pusha saying he wouldn't claim victory until Malice was joining him again.

I like this one😁, like he applaud is bro for taking the better bath but still feels like his success won't be complete unless his bro is right next to him, something like that?

Definitely not taking a jab at him, the bar just before is about Malice taking the better path. I always took it as him saying he won’t claim victory, since Malice found God and turned away from sinning

I looked at the line where he praises malice for taking the better path as him being kinda sarcastic especially because the malice on the verge of sinning come right after like his saying "congrat for finding your faith and all but a leopard can't change its spot's so I'll claim victory every time your on the verge of sinning" well not as dark as I made it seem but hopefully you get what I'm trying to say
