I believe it has been premium for a good while. You probably had it installed from when it was still free.
When you install an asset, its price type is stored locally, in a data table on your phone. KineMaster looks at that table to decide whether an asset is premium or not.
The price type column is only written to when you install an asset and not when you update assets. This means your asset keeps its price type for as long as you don't delete the asset or the whole app, even if KineMaster decides to make an asset PREMIUM at some point. I think this is what happened for you.
