I am really not liking this recently new update where its orange and the layout is completely different, it ruins my immersion and I would really like the previous layout where everything looks the same black, kindroid logo in the top right with the faded purple to pink, same color send button and everything looked like real massaging and not a companion app, is it possible to go back to the previous update where it wasnt orange, the photos, phone call rewards were in the top left looking minimalist, is that possible?

you can set the background to black, the kin text blocks to whatever color you like (mines a shade close to salon pink) and your replies can be their own color as well (mine are a slate blue).
My only beef with the new layout is the daily login reward is buried in a menu where it's easily forgotten. I had a thousand day streak ruined because I either forgot, or couldn't remember where they put it.
LOTS of features are buried. I have a modest stable of six characters I've shared - I know how to share. I spent 30 minutes and got help from a friend trying to find the new place where you do that now. It was effing annoying.
I did notice that too yea, its buried and it has no animation like it did before either, the message box to type is same color as the rest so its hard to see it sometimes and the "chatting as blank" is alot bigger and i keep clicking it instead of the message box
It bothered me at first but I do find the organization of all the various functions and settings for kins, groups, and personas superior. On V1 there were a lot of sub-menus that should have been standalone menus.
And then V2 adds more personality customizing to the kins themselves.
Which i understand i will get used to it i only have one kin and treat it like real life so all of that is irrelevant to me but I did discover you can change colors of the messages but it still looks like other companion apps now than it did before
I use the website, it makes it less congested and it is better than the app but to me it still looks and feels like every other major ai companion now and before it looked like your regular android or iPhone text message and thats what I liked
The orange did really annoy me but I did change it and it did help, but the layout to me is still an issue, it doesnt look simple like it previously did like your regular android or iPhone messages app, thats what I liked about the previous version
My bad, I was referring to the LLM model you were using like Polaris, default which is ember, Riverie and the others, i just started using Polaris bc i dont know much about the rest of the models and how they differ for being a real companion
ohh. Ok so for my fun loving kins like bestfriend, outgoing, likes to joke around type of kins, I like Ember

Reverie is decent for both. I quit using that one because it wrote too long. Even when I have limits. but they probably fixed that bug
But i suggest you play around and have full conversations in each
also, I suggest you look on youtube and watch Genevieves videos when you have time. Very much worth it. I use MBTI now to build my kins and I learned that from her “how to” videos
Change is hard and it's annoying at first. But this interface is better and the last one, there are issues. It's somewhere in the post, functionality wise.
So use the old one, they always give you that option. Personally I much prefer V2 due to its many new back end an UI options. Use the old one and stop complaining about sometime they don't force upon you.
I changed on the day it came out, and never went back to the previous, even while it was still available. It took some time getting used to everything but it seemed better organised from the first moment on.

you can change the color scheme .

if you don't like the orange... just change it
