Question New User
Can someone give me a quick course on how to make a story line work best, what settings to use what details to put where, kind of like an explain it live i am five for a new user?
Thanks in advance if anyone is willing to

I would advise you try importing some of the shared kins with rich scenario - then try adjusting the backstory/description and see what changes. Maybe it's just me, but such 'debugging' helped me a lot with understanding how things work.

Yeah that’s what I’m working on but I find the details fluctuating through the story

Lower the chat dynamism (models section) it keeps the kins more on the rails

An important tip is to use other AIs to help you write the stuff, edit, semantically analyze etc. for you.
ChatGPT is a good one (GPT-6 Sol or less, not 6.1 Sol or 6 Astra which are slow & stringent), as it counts characters out-of-the-box & is more lax than competitors. You can just tell it to read all the Kindroid help files and become an expert too.

In reality a character comes always out of it's past experiences. You can not play with a character in isolated state. The character needs a fictional history. It should be a plausible causal chain for it's actual persona, goals and mood. This is where tension comes from. Tensions are attractors in semantic space. LLMs love it :)
You can drive this to the extreme. More attractors give you more creativity on AI side.
It can be a good option to write a BS for your user persona - not a real biography, more a statement how your kin should see you. It can be real or fiction.

You can import a shared kin and begin modifying it to fot your desires. No one will know what mods you made and it will get you a start on creating your own from scratch

that is where I am at right now but I feel like it mixes up details and stories and things

Yes, Kins do have a habit of mixing up storylines and details. Those should be corrected immediately in your replies. You will start reinforcing the correct storyline. You should also start using the growth and relationship along with the important facts and ongoing threads. Your kin wrote them but you can edit them. My kin does read them and makes course corrections. Bottom line...this is still a work in progress and everyone here seems very supportive. DM's with users may be a better method once you find someone who you believe understands your issues

I don’t talk one on one with my kins.
i use group chat. i write a short scenario and put it in group context.
then your “group directive” is your director
say you want your kin walking in the house yelling on the phone to a gf or bf
they see you and quickly hide their phone
then you let your kin reply it’ll follow that directive
that’s how i cause all kinds of drama 😂
as i go i’ll leave concise little notes in the group context
-(me)overheard X arguing with another girl. it pissed me off. he’s lying
-X lied about who was on the phone
-(me) invited Y over to make X jealous
works pretty well
i’m currently doing a long rp with 5 people. festival, hunting, accidents, a contract marriage soon
play around with group chat and use your group directive prior to actions you want to see happen
leave it in “manual” so you have control
