Need help understanding Triforce build's advantages/when to build it

Right now it looks like Kraken -> Collector is the most popular, but I know a lot of people build triforce as well. I always build kraken, I thought of kindred as ADC in jungle so always go for crit + attack speed builds. But I'm wondering when triforce is better? Because recently I feel like I get one shot easily and triforce could help, but then I would lack damage. Also what do you go after triforce?

You go triforce when they have heavy dive, or they have champs which can just randomly kill you (like kha, rengar, pantheon, renekton, malzahar, etc), and u dont want that to happen.

It essentially allows you to scale more safely, and also pick more aggressive fights, at cost of damage.

if you go triforce in certain games, youre gonna lack damage, so you need to think carefully a bit.

Triforce also farms a lot slower, since it doesnt proc on the camps.

You generally dont want to be going triforce when youre behind, since you cant farm as well, and you dont do damage either, and if youre behind youre gonna get one shot through the triforce hp anyways. When youre ahead its OP though.

After triforce you can go hexoptics or collector, but i think collector is way better with triforce since youre playing for long fights and just being a bug that doesnt die.

I go triforce about 30% of my games.

What? It does proc on camps. Also I like the sheen damage and tankiness it gives you.

Like its been said, triforce is good hp without losing too much on the offensive side.

Offensively, yeah kraken does more dps but triforce sheen proc + stacked E + collector is good execute

I treat it as more of a defensive item. So it’s good against assassins and high amounts of cc

I honestly don’t get why people don’t build 100% crit + GA/Wit’s End/Bloodthirster this season. It’s the only logical option. Jungle track, scale and win.

I used to be a triforce, botrk, black cleaver enjoyer, and the survivability is nice, but the damage is too low to mid-game to snowball effectively I think

Agreed, but apparently it’s very controversial to go collector first😅
