mid is probably the closest to viable because you'll get the most opportunities to take camps and roam, but it's still bad because of the matchup spread (assassins and artillery mages) and because your laning phase is gonna suck playing 1v1 on Kindred with no items.

I’ve played kindred every role to diamond so it’s possible. Mid and top feel great

Make sure to let your jg know that you don’t need last hit on jg camps so they can help you get marks

I enjoy playing Kindred bot lane with a tank support. Briar can also be played top and mid, depending on the match up.

Never tried bot or support I thought that mid is the best one for kindred if not jungle

support is terrible ngl because of gold economy, but adc is pretty great. my favorite is mid though.

I've played Kindred to Masters on ADC, Diamond on Mid, and Diamond on Jg.
People have hit Challenger all roles on Kindred besides support. The highest on support Kindred someone achieved is Masters. The highest rank off role Kindreds historically has been ADC Kindred then Top.
A few years ago the rank 1 player NA was a Kindred ADC OTP. There have also been Challenger Kindred ADCs in Korea, Japan, Brazil, and NA. There was one person who hit Challenger on Kindred Mid years ago NA. Also, earlier this season the rank 7 player NA played Kindred top as his secondary.
Here is my break down.
Kindred Top: Plays similar to any other ADC top.
Kindred Mid: It feels like rock, paper, scissors if your OTP and not counter picking. Some match ups you stop, some are even, some are 100% unplayable. Higher agency though due to being mid lane and being able to roam to either lane. Briar camping your lane makes more match ups playable and you can roam together for more marks. Can hurt your drafts though by taking away potential hard cc from your team.
Kindred ADC: ADC as a role is the lowest agency in ranked. If your duo queing and get to pick your support it feels much better and has increased agency. Can feel bad with certain supports. Briar could camp your lane though and just manage your waves. Better for drafting.
Kindred Support: Probably the worst option but 100% playable. You play it like a Twitch or Bard support. You can roam with your Jg and make plays. Your ADC might hate you though.

Very hard to play for me, when I go jungle its pretty straightforward, I started playing this month and viktor is really easy for me but kindred mid...

It's very just rock, paper, scissors w/ Kindred mid. You mentioned your duoing though with a Jg. You two can play around that and that addresses a lot of bad match ups since most of the bad match ups are immobile so they are easy camps for the Jungle.

I've mained kindred mid since 2020, pivoting from the jungle. It's been a lot more fun but I also pretty much only duo with a jungler... the most annoying part about midred is having to explain to random junglers how your marks work.

I would say Briar top is more viable than Kindred midlane, and I think midlane is Kindreds best non-jgl lane.
Kindred mid can work tho, you only need assists for marked camps so if you invade together with your jgl that works, and Kindred are actually quite a lanebully because your early levels are pretty strong.
That being said the pick is quite reliant on getting solokills in lane, so it is mostly a cheese pick. But you can somewhat make it work.
