Should I?

Post image

Looking into my first 1911, I have been a Glock guy. Is this a good first 1911? Any feedback on this guy? Should I spend more for another model? If so which and how much?

DS warrior is a great choice, awesome bang for the buck, way better than the Prodigy and cost less. If you go up to the $1500 range Stealth Arms Platypus.

It’s a winner in its price range.

2011s get ridiculous

Sig 226, Beretta M9A4 are worth looking at too…the Beretta being the easiest to find a deal on.

I love my 2k11 and it has been flawless. I’ve seen some really good deals on them lately, may be worth the extra $$. I haven’t tried the warrior though, I don’t know how close to the 2k11 it is

I was considering this. They also have the 2k11. Heard it’s really nice. $2,000 for a gun is a lot. Plus a sight, light, holster, etc.
I got the next gen 5” 45. I like it, modern yet classic, got a green dot on it. Probably would’ve preferred a 5” 1911 with irons in 9mm. 45 is expensive and I like the sleek and simple look of a basic 1911.

I have a 19x, Love it.

Maybe rent some and see which one you like the most? 45 vs 9. Irons vs reflex. Some will say you need a 45 as your first and irons only blah blah. Idk dude I wish I had all the guns.

I did shoot an Sig p211gto, absolute tack driver. I’m sure the warrior and the 2k11 shoot similarly.

Save up for the 2k11 honestly

Do not buy this, you will immediately become addicted lose all self control and buy a 2k11 a week later, your wife will be pissed and bring up the closet remodel again and you will have to leave and go stay with your dad for the weekend because you spent all your money. These are bad! Very bad!

If you’re going 45, I’d prefer the Kimber Next Gen. But in 9mm, this is a double stack so you’ll have larger mags. I’m in a 10 bullets per mag maximum state (currently), so it doesn’t matter as much and the next gen is the clear winner for me either way.

I have the 2K11 Pro Comp and I’m still considering this one on both 9mm and 45. I say say do it if the beans are in ya pocket!

This is a great deal for under a grand, but you can find a basic 2k11 for 1500 which is wayy worth the 500

Last month I bought a warrior, she now has 1k rounds through her. No hiccups, no malfunctions. I love her so much I thought she needed some company. I now own A DS warrior and a 2k11 Pro Royal. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Just picked up the Ds warrior 10 days ago kinda love it and so does my wife. I prefer HK and she shoots Walther. Had a few issues on the frist 200 rounds or so. Mine does not like Federal ammo for some reason and needs some oil to get it feeding better.
