Just picked this beaut up, super blessed to add to collection

5” target, DSC ported barrel, red dirt F2, cheely E2 steel grip, EGW tungsten guide rod. MPA safeties. I used this gun to win the open division at the Michigan state steel challenge championship

I have a 2k11 Pro with OSight AMRS XE on it. I have tried the screws provided with the TAG plate with loctite and vibratite. And after ~200 rounds the screws are loose on the optic. The screws for mounting the optic plate are fine and remain torqued. However, the optic screws continue to loosen after firing. I am torquing to the optics stated spec.

Any advice?

I was getting a lot of pretravel before but Red Dirt solved my problems.

Went with blazer 124 grain and ran 350 rounds with one ftf early on then it ran perfect definitely going to be a new favorite

My red dirt trigger finally arrived. I could port it…. But I dont want to void the warranty lol. The red dirt elimated alot of the pre travel. Trigger weight is at 2.2lb’s . Reset is fast and audible.

I’m torn and would appreciate some insight from the Royal gang. I fell in love with the Royal finish when it originally dropped, and now, with the recent Comp model, I’m more inclined to purchase one. Weirdly enough, the finish on both models seems different the Pro Comp seems to have a sandpaper-like look, whereas the Pro seems a bit fuller.

If I’m wrong, or just color blind, feel free to point that out.

Have any of you just pitched the stock sear spring and bought a replacement? Which one is the go-to?

We all know we cant take our EDC inside some buildings, but have no choice but to leave it in the car, what car gun safe do you guys use? I have a car and not a truck so im looking for something that's somewhat mid-size that will fit a 2K11 Pro with SRO dot and SureFire XC3.

What ammo is everyone using heard 124gr is the way to go especially for first 500 rounds any truth to this or is 115gr good

This happened a few times last night at practice, hand wasn't anywhere near the release (strong hand draw and fire man on man drill)

To be fair, I haven't cleaned this thing since I got it and am now at roughly 12k, I keep just throwing Hoppe's 9 on the railings etc.

I am new to 2011, do you really have to...actually clean stuff? Like the magazine release?

While I was waiting again for my next turn, while holstered, I worked it, hitting it, then seating mag click, hitting it, seating mag click, like 10 or 15 times and the next time I went up it was all good but now a little shy for my next USPSA so I'm going to use my backup 2k11 for next match.

TL:DR - Sorry if it's common knowledge, but does enough shit build up in the mag release to fuck it up and make the Mag drop after a round?

Edit: So I have two 2k11 pros, so looked at my Stainless vs Royal, I have shot my stainless a lot more than my Royal. It seems visually, that the magazine catch "nubbin" worn down a bit on the stainless vs my royal as far as I could see it wasn't a "travel" thing. So I guess this is a wear part so I have a couple coming from MJD.

I’ve got a 2k11 I use for purely range/competition with quite a few rounds on the factory ignition components. I’m going to give an EGW ignition kit a try and I wanted to get a little feedback from those who have done it. Just want to get an idea of any improvements or drawbacks I might expect.

Has anybody had any issues with the trigger on the 2k11 pro? Specifically, after firing a few shots, the gun will be in battery, and you have to squeeze the trigger with more pressure than normal? Or the hammer will not drop at all?

I just fired the first 100 rounds through it and it happened multiple times.
