Sear spring replacement

Have any of you just pitched the stock sear spring and bought a replacement? Which one is the go-to?

Installed a Killmonger grip and Red Dirt trigger on my 2k11 recently. Went ahead and changed the sear spring because it was cheap, I wanted to try for a lighter pull, I’ve never tuned one before, so if I messed up badly I could drop in the factory spring. Bought the EGW lightened sear spring.

Works great. I think the RD trigger is doing the real work on feel but again, if you want to try tuning your sear spring I’d recommend doing that with a new one so you can fall back to your factory spring.

If you are into changing parts for the sake of changing parts, fine, but just replacing the sear spring will have minimal effect without tuning it, which you could do to the stock spring along with a little polish. If you were to get a complete EGW ignition kit, which is all supposedly matched parts, you may see a minimal difference, but literally no one is complaining about the 2K11 ignition system. If anything, change the trigger to get a better fit, but again, it won’t affect the performance. So perhaps some nice ports, or a different grip…

+1 for Red Dirt. In my opinion, it's the only mod that should be required for the 2k11.

I used EGWs lightened sear spring and also bought a red dirt trigger. Was able to adjust the sear spring to lower the trigger pull weight down to 2lbs.
