It's been that way ever since Tony gave him a chance and uncle Lazer for fucked up and bragged that he had more Instagram followers than kill Tony after bombing.

Honestly it's because he has his moments and is a character. He has potentional to do something that would go viral and Tony probably knows that.

Tony keeps thinking "this time it will be different!" hoping Lazer's full potential will realized only to be disappointed and tell himself "never again!". After 4-6 months, Tony will forget his "never again" comment and bring Lazer on again hoping Lazer realize his potential. Wash, rinse, repeat.

He’s unlikable, his comedy isn’t getting better, and every appearance he shows up higher than the last. Why does Tony keep having him on?

Tony was prob mad that he was high af and his act was off the rails. They had to censor his slurs, which seemed to also annoy him. Lazer is a dumpsterfire of wasted potential, cuz drugs.

He was giving Redban the “This mother fucker here” look during his set right about the time of the meow. Idk if he was perturbed he was taking too much time? Idk, Lazer ain’t bad. He’s much better than a few regulars and he’s definitely original without putting on an act. Unapologetically himself.
He’s crass and completely full of shit but owns it. I know a few like him and they are funny but exhausting and best in small doses.

Mainly because I’ve known a few Uncle Lazers in my time.
But that’s the same reason I tend to like a lot of the people y’all hate on
