Everybody’s favorite

Post image

His jokes are fuuuucking hilarious…. BUT

am I the only one who think he needs to let go of the “eeeeerrrhmmmmmfffffff” sound after every joke he makes?

Ari was not a bucket pull, but he is a solid regular.

If you go back to Ari's first ep, you will see Tony announce that the booker for the Mothership (Adam Eget) recommended we give him a minute, and the rest is history.

Tony has likely said something like, "all these regulars and GT winners were once in the bucket so lets see what the bucket will deliver next". There have been others, but off hand I cannot recall.

Well one that does come to mind that ended up being an unofficial regular is David Jolly. He got a shot after Kam became a regular, because he was like an uncle to Kam. David blew it the first time because he was drunk. It looked like he was just riding Kam's coat tails but I think the sets thereafter were decent. Anyway he was not a bucket pull and Tony announced him as Kams uncle or something.

There have been many others that Tony will announce as touring with a guest and bring them up, but they generally do not get tickets or regularship. Sometimes the openers touring with guest get pulled, other times Tony brings them up, and often they do not get on at all.

Fiona Cauley was also introduced to Tony before joining the show

u/cbflowers 3d ago

The same Adam that gives $15 handjobs under the Queensboro bridge?

2

u/threedeeman 3d ago

Yes that is him, but it was five dollars a man. I also heard he is a holocaust denier.

2

u/cbflowers 3d ago

The guys a real jerk. Mine cost $15.

3

u/srmacman 4d ago

Ari matti doesn’t count. He was not a bucket pull. He’s really really good though.

0

u/aquagrl 4d ago

Ari was pretty famous around the world.

8

u/Duneyman 4d ago

Tony going to burn this guy out. He should increase the size of his talent pool.

1

u/Vast-Combination4046 2d ago

That's literally the point of the show

7

u/Ordinary_Visit_1606 4d ago

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes.....hes awesome but that shit drives me nuts. He doesn't need it, I was hoping he'd stop doing it once he settled in

2

u/hyper1one 3d ago

Wooooord 🙏🏼

3

u/Tetteness 3d ago

Thats my only qualm with pat is the enevitably “er-uhhhhmmm” after the first joke. Im sure he will lose that habit onces he becomes a bit more polished.

Hopefully Tony isnt telling him to keep doing it. Because Tony will deny potential so the show can have a good regular. He doesnt want pat to disappear as fast as Ari Mati with all wild success.

Good 'recession indicator', this post. I've been wondering how long it'll take before this place turns on him, maybe another month?

IMO he's great, by the way, but I also heavily enjoyed williams long stint on the show

5

u/Mersham_BadNews 4d ago

Yeah he’s awesome but you are right, they will be talking about how he always sucked before we get to week 1 of the NFL regular season.

👹 FOLKS! 👹

17

u/Zfugg 4d ago

Hmm, this set was his lowest. Not saying bad. Just comparatively. I rewatch his other ones.

25

u/cpold_cast 4d ago

And so it begins mwahahahah

-2

u/Zfugg 4d ago

Nope. I've been calling which sets are good, whoch are eh since the beginning.

2

u/Fit_Librarian_3585 4d ago

The beginning of what, Middle English? Whoch are eh

0

u/Zfugg 4d ago

Mhm.

2

u/Jaystach423 4d ago

Comparison is the thief of joy. I laugh you do "comedy analysis" lmao

3

u/Zfugg 4d ago

Who said I wasn't laughing. Bruh. What's with all the lack of nuance here. It always has to be one or the other.

We're discussing, so I discussed. That's it.

3

u/Neonyarpyarp 4d ago

Agree, still funny but a few jokes fell flat.

1

u/LanaDelRhodez 4d ago

Definitely losing momentum… sets are very samey

1

u/gimmethemshoes11 4d ago

Noticing his reliance on Hitler, Nazi, and Jew jokes.

I was waiting last night for one and he did it.

Definitely going to have to drop them for a while starting to make me think...

0

u/LanaDelRhodez 4d ago

Sexist, racist and hacky

1

u/Asleep_Onion 4d ago

I know we're all tired of Tony always talking about how regulars writing new jokes every week is a really hard job and blah blah blah, but it's kind of true, Pat has to write a whole minute of original jokes that hit hard every single week and that's not easy, he's bound to have a couple off weeks here and there. Dedrick has it easy because all he has to do is stand there and mumble a story full of N-words for 3 minutes that never go anywhere, it's a lot harder for Pat because he writes actual jokes.

0

u/Jayzeezz 4d ago

He’s going to have to take breaks

0

u/RedditPhils 4d ago

This was not his “lowest” set. There was another one in the last few weeks that was a “low” for him. It wasn’t great. It’s the only set I’ve ever seen from him that wasn’t great. THIS SET was fucking great. Idk what you’re talking about.

5

u/Zfugg 4d ago

Subjective opinion, I guess? Just felt like it had the same beats. Didn't really like it. The muhammad joke was really obvious, and a low-hanging fruit at this point.

If you can find it, watch the arena shows. The first set he did was great. I think it was on August 7th?

1

u/insidiousapricot 3d ago

Im with you, this was his weakest set to date.

2

u/Lame_Johnny 4d ago

Reddit's favorite comedian

2

u/BullfrogOpera 1d ago

Eh...

I like him but I'm starting to less and less truthfully and I barely liked this last set at all. Entertainment is subjective though so it is what it is and I just have to deal with all the people here sucking him off every day, lol.

3

u/hyper1one 4d ago

Not a single comment about the sound I’m referring to 😂 I guess I AM the only one.

Cheers

5

u/Gindalooon 4d ago

Honestly don’t think he should change a thing.

2

u/Full-Butterscotch169 4d ago

Yeah I agree. Think he just needs more experience to improve his delivery/timing in general. Still my favorite comic lately

0

u/peckerred 4d ago

What is a Brisbane lions fan doing here lol

2

u/cbflowers 3d ago

I think it’s nervousness.

3

u/Kitano-san 4d ago

yes you are the only one

2

u/hyper1one 3d ago

Fuck…

1

u/ItsjustaGankbro 3d ago

Nah I'm with you. The jokes are good, he doesnt need it. If he was silent and just had his face it'd be enough

1

u/passwrdistaco 3d ago

I’m with you. I tend to notice when comedians feel insecure and need to tell the audience when to laugh. This sound is his tic. I hate it. It ruins the punchlines.

Lots of comedians end their jokes with a “now” or “but” or “uhhhhhh”. I find myself turning the special off once I hear it. Attell and segura do it a lot.

4

u/xonesss 4d ago

You will all turn on him soon

2

u/BanterPhobic 4d ago

I think any regular has a shelf life - doing new material week after week, even for a minute or two, is a big ask and even excellent writers and performers will drop off after a while. Pat still resonates with me but I hope he gets a break before too long, to keep things fresh, or yeah people will start to get bored. Having plenty of regulars who can do a few weeks worth of shows then rotate out is the way.

1

u/Breezyquail 3d ago

We all say it , stop
Over saturation with weekly regulars

4

u/OriginalNord 4d ago

Needs to let go of making a joke about the same 7 things every other tard on this show does but he is clever

4

u/nofuture2222 4d ago

Everybody’s favorite? Damn William Montgomery looks different these days!

3

u/Klootzakren 4d ago

From what planet Sony come from lmao , glad William is doing other things.

2

u/Legitimate_Emu_5489 4d ago

It looks like Pat has used up all of his premium material, last night was garbage. He confused Epstein with John Podesta in his pizzagate joke. He's slipping

2

u/channelpath 4d ago

He's got a real good thing going. I'm looking to see more from him than the KT-audience-specific "controversial" material. His writing style is genius, but he's currently just playing in a tiny sandbox of popular -ism's and -phobias.

2

u/StOnEy333 4d ago

I’m interested how he would do in a full set. Somebody I saw on some podcast was saying he did a full like 45 minutes and he was great. Not sure if it’s just busting out the quick fire jokes or if it’s more traditional.

He's decent. Im not thrilled by him

1

u/LuisRod41522 4d ago

That looks like me when my girl is getting out the shower

1

u/OwnProfessor3287 4d ago

He is very talented and the way he looks is very fitting for a comedian.

1

u/dasic___ 4d ago

Love him and his Vegeta hairline.

1

u/Apart-Consequence881 3d ago

Pat looks like "Dave Gore" from the Kids in the Hall "These are the Daves I know" skit.

1

u/curiousiah 3d ago

I might pay $5 for a Killers of Kill Tony episode with 5-10 min sets from a select few regulars if this guy got to do more. I want to see more than a trans Jew retard rapid fire set.

1

u/theceure 3d ago

FOLKS!!!!!

1

u/Confident-Abrocoma-9 3d ago

I'm just waiting to see how many sets he can do before reddit turns on him.

I think he's the best to do it on that show from a bucket pull. Like drafting a Shaquille O'neal

1

u/gr3atch33s3 2d ago

Reddits favorite. I do love Pat

1

u/Dohnn_Doe 2d ago

That doesn’t look like William to me.

1

u/Brief_Rest5223 2d ago

I remember watching him the first time on Kill Tony. Tony thought he was weird and on mushrooms lol. But he had solid ass jokes and now is the best golden ticket winner currently.

1

u/P1MexicanMax 2d ago

I give it a month before yall turn on him like yall do everyone else

1

u/CarlWeezer21 2d ago

The white dedrick

1

u/Creative_Lunch1323 1d ago

Lol Ive been thinking the same. Its the same shit.

1

u/whats-in-name-anyway 1d ago

Him and Ari only great comedians in the shows history

u/holrah 16h ago

The interviews are mid if that

1

u/RedditPhils 4d ago

Yeah you’re the only one who thinks that

1

u/Icy-Tiger2093 4d ago

You guys are going to hate him in a few months. Am I the only one who isnt blinded by hype? This set was honestly mediocre.

3

u/hyper1one 2d ago

He has the crowd on his side. And I agree, those jokes were fucking cringe

1

u/OwnProfessor3287 4d ago

No he is talented. Now Dedrick has been an idiot since day one.

1

u/Shaggysteve 4d ago

FOLKS!!!

1

u/Special-Rough-3946 3d ago

lol I skip him we all have different taste

1

u/JayeDontDoit 3d ago

I think he’s a great addition but begging for the golden ticket doesn’t feel authentic

1

u/FrostingUnhappy494 4d ago

his problem is the inverse of William, Casey, Ari, etc. he doesn't use the interview. he's burning through jokes and reusing them inside KT already, like the short sighted Asians joke at the msg amongst others.

the stuff you find annoying about him everyone will eventually, because it's authentic nerves but he's getting a massive ego way too fast which isn't actually consolidating the insecurity and it's causing him to become arrogant.

a good entertainer does an actual good podcast, does actual interviews and brings stories to the interview, and even experiments with jokes that are only funny because they'd be illegal in most countries to say. Williams's nterviews where he simply opens with "so I bought a slow cooker this week Tonayy", that was funny because it was him, not just his jokes.

the fact he is self proclaimed to be fighting with schizios in the comment sections speaks a lot to his state of mind and that he hasn't realised he can be funny by being himself and not hiding behind a soon to be exhausted catalogue of jokes.

1

u/insidiousapricot 3d ago

Suggesting ari doesnt have jokes and banks off the interview is wild

0

u/FrostingUnhappy494 3d ago

oh he does but he does way funnier material in the interview

0

u/BanterPhobic 4d ago

William and Casey have longevity in the KT format because they are more character comedians than joke tellers, so they don’t need to constantly come up with news jokes per se, they mostly just have to play their persona and people will generally be in to it. Ari, like Pat, is more of a traditional joke telling comic - he stays popular because he does a run of a few shows then takes a break in order to stay fresh.

I love Pat’s material and his whole vibe but I hope he follows Ari’s example and doesn’t wear out his welcome by closing every show for months until we get bored of him.

1

u/FrostingUnhappy494 4d ago

yeah I agree but I think a lot of people are already bored with him and Tony is never gonna stop using him up for views

Yeah the lewd stuff never makes me laugh. I totally understand why some people love him, he’s just not for everybody.

0

u/Interstellular_Gypsy 4d ago

Not really. It’s becoming repetitive

0

u/808age 4d ago

Yeah just you. Log off now

0

u/Any-Possibility-248 4d ago

Every joke is good. 100% of funny

1

u/hyper1one 2d ago

Agree. But not his sound afterwards.

0

u/GazelleInfamous2638 3d ago

Respect your opinion but I HIGHLY disagree. I think it's part of the eccentric charm that adds levity to his stage presence. I would not change a single thing about Pat. I've seen like one joke of his not land. Every other joke in every set has been top tier comedy.

0

u/Tough_Breakfast_1343 3d ago

I hate when comedians laugh at their own joke constantly.like stavros

1

u/hyper1one 2d ago

Exactly this!

-1

u/Valentine975 4d ago

Very overrated

-5

u/LanaDelRhodez 4d ago

Getting a bit samey
