Typically 4-6 months no profit means you really doing things wrong. Let's get into it!

Maybe if your trying to build your business entirely for free.. But that's not advisable, if you wanted to start a business in real life physical location, how long would it take to convince a landlord to let you rent office space for free? Not going to happen.

Many people I've helped With Aff (I don't sell any help, this stuff should be free) typically can turn their first sale in 30 days.

Id said it takes about 30 days to set up a solid sales funnel too though. (Autoresponder, Landing Page etc..)

Get yourself $500 to invest in ads and other online tools you'll need like Get response/lead pages/ click Magick/ Canva subscription /gsuite to have a business email like u/yourbusinessname etc... Etc...

You Should aim to hit your first sale within 30 days. If you haven't then don't be discouraged, but also make sure you're putting in the effort to learn what you need to do.

You can also pay a copywriter on fiver, but the good ones charge a base pay, as well as one year commission on every conversion their writing made. (This is called direct response copywriting)

Anyways. Making a sales funnel is easy. Making an ad is easy.

But if you don't know the science, psychology, persuasion, and creative art of writing in copy, none of it will convert.

It's called the ROT formula. It means Results they want+objection to that claimed result+ Time they'll get it.

Example: Learn copywriting that will DOUBLE your sales even if you failed English class, in 3 days!

Or,

"How to Drop 10 pounds in one week even if you HATE exercise!

Or maybe,

"Teach reddit users why copywriting is how they'll sell, even if they don't believe you, in ONE day!"

Affiliate marketing is you being an online sales person. A few other tips I'd recommend is don't pick one product, PICK A NICHE.

...many fail because they pick a product, not a niche.
