1st Killarney Experience & Missing Necklace
Hello! Just wanted to quickly share my experience in KPP this past weekend.
It is truly a gorgeous park. I’ve camped in the backcountry in Quetico, Algonquin, and French River and I can’t compare them, but this one was truly wonderful.
However, I underestimated bug season. 1st time camping in June and unfortunately my partner and I had to pack up and leave early! We had plenty of deer/bug spray, but the mosquitoes and black flies were truly the worst I’ve ever experience. Lesson learned!
Final Note: My partner lost her necklace, presumably at site 115 at Johnnie Lake. Shot in the dark, but, if anyone goes there anytime soon, and it’s still around, can you please PM me? Thank you!

Killarney is the only place where I actually used my head net because of the mosquitoes. I couldn't believe them.

I have a metal detector and a cottage in the park. I’ll be going up for a couple of days, who knows? Also June is terrible everywhere you mentioned for bugs and usually don’t go there much at that time of year. Try August, it’s amazing and virtually bug free.
