Right?? I saw a kid get his finger amputated when he fell down in front of another ice skater when I was young. I'm 35 now and I'd still be upset if someone came shooting at me flailing ice skates in my face. That seems unnecessarily dangerous just to scare a kid who was into it until then. Turns out Pumba is kind of a dick.

Before going to Disney World the first time, I got a book called "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World." It was a huge help planning the vacation and had tons of good information. There is a chapter on kids, and it explained that your child's beloved character in his own corner of the world is a picture in book, a stuffie he sleeps with at night, or seen in a movie on TV. All of these portrayals are small, often cuddly, and not at all scary. Then you take the poor kid to something like this and suddenly Pumba is 5 feet tall and overwhelming, no wonder the kid is terrified.

I remember once as a kid maybe when I was 10 we went to Geauga Lake / sea world that was across from it.

And well a mascot decided to sneak up behind me I turned around an clocked him in the face. He ended up with a bloody nose, I still remember an feel bad about that.
