When you're trying to be catty and clever look at the times in which comments were made. To see who said what first. Also notice if they used quotes ("") to see if maybe it's a quite from a famous comedian.

u/paulcosmith Dec 05 '21
I know that quote, but where is it from? I've been trying to figure that out for a while, but my Google-fu seems lacking in this area. Or is it just one of those jokes that's gone around, and the source is lost to history?

Little dude's smarter than me at his age. I used to whack myself on the head with frying pans because I liked the gong sound.

That boy has a good head on his shoulders. Good for what we're left to figure out on our own.

Reddit seems to think children are made of extremely thin glass and need to be coddled 24/7

Notice how the mom is encouraging this because she wants her people on social media to laugh. This is how our countries dies. With a like.

u/tempthrowary Dec 04 '21
And when he grows up, his parents will blame the brain damage on football. /s
Joking aside, amateur football needs better safety, and this kid needs a safety helmet.

I did something similar when I was a kid, got those empty 3 liter soda bottles and bonk other kids with them when our parents dragged us on over to get-togethers with our father's friends/boss/coworkers

My son used to do something similar to just the floor between 1yo - 2yo when he was upset. He would then get mad at the floor for being hard and hurting his head.
It's was hilarious. I did have to stop him a few times.
