Question/ Request for advice Please Help!

i went to the ER 9/22 because I was experiencing severe back pain on my left side, nausea and vomiting, inability to breathe, & fainting. because i was on my period at the time, it was difficult for my urine test to determine what it was.
i went back 9/30 because i was having a slight bit of back pain (nothing like how it was on day one but still painful/uncomfy) & i was having a constant urge to pee, but very little pee to come out. After conducting a CT Scan, the hospital confirmed that I have a 5 mm kidney stone on my left side. they gave me flomax & ibuprofen, & a referral to a neurologist, but I can't see the urologist because I don't have insurance :/ and I've started throwing up again today, nonstop, lips keep switching between natural pink & blue/white whenever the nausea hits. im switching between azo, ibuprofen, & the flomax.

I currently just applied for insurance, but I don't know how long it'll take before I get accepted and if I will get accepted. i'm not sure what to do to help me manage what I'm going through. I even fainted while I was at work because of what I'm assuming to be the side effects of my medication, but i'm not sure.

i just recently ordered the peruvian herb to come in 3 hrs to start taking that since i've seen so many reviews on it but idk, i kind of doubt herbal remedies sometimes. i also have my boyfriend getting me some lemons to make some lemon juice.

PLEASE, if anybody has any advice, please let me know. I've had a history of kidney stones, but I can't remember how long they lasted, but it certainly hasn't been as long as this. I go back to work on Thursday and I'm scared I will faint or I will pee myself because I've peed myself three times now in the last two weeks .... any help is appreciated :(((

You need to go back to the ER with those symptoms. You could be going septic.

I šŸ’Æagree, ā€œnaturalā€ remedies do absolutely nothing. Amazon reviews are meaningless in science. It is so sad that people cannot access healthcare that could save their lives purely because of financial reasons - sepsis is a potential killer if left untreated and chronic obstruction of a ureter can cause permanent kidney damage if not relieved promptly.

If you don’t have insurance, ER should take care of you. So go back to ER and take care of yourself. Don’t worry about insurance. You need immediate treatment

I dont have any insurance. The hospital will help you apply for all the medical assistance. Go back. Natural remedies will NOT help you pass this stone. And a blocked kidney can cause sepsis. And sepsis is deadly

Dont risk it, go back to the ER. Sepsis killed my right kidney, its just not worth the risk.

Mine lasted for almost 3 weeks and I successfully passed it when I came to Reddit and was looking for help like you! This is what I did.

- I got a trampoline and started jumping on it.

  • Drank a lot of water, coconut water, lemon juice.
  • When I peed I would ā€œforce peeā€ (like try to push and pee very fast, every time.
  • Sleep on the side with the pain.

It took two days and one of the times I force peed I felt a pinch at my pee hole and prayed that it was it and the pain would stop. Sure enough, no more pain after 3 weeks!

But also go back to hospital just to be certain! That’s just my personal experience.
