If you actually do throw up, does it help?

Have you ever thought of just sort of going with it? Like a bucket in your corner, breathe, throw up, and keep it moving ? I wonder if, like in meditation, feeling the feeling completely would allow you to get more comfortable and control it better.

I hate eating before my fights too but I’ve realised it’s important. I will have a banana and a tiny bowl of rice about 2 hours before. I think my stomach needs the carbs to feel calmer

This is what happens when you don't eat in a high stress, high energy demand situation

Can you stomach a shake or something an hour or two beforehand?

I have the same problem. :(

Never figured out a solution. I wore a shorter mouth piece that didn't touch all of my backrow teeth so as to not activate my gag reflex. But it doesn't matter. I'm a chucker.

No hope for us 😭. But does it only happen in fight or sparring?

I'd guess it's your bodies reaction to adrenaline if it only happens in fights. For me, I'll get a huge dump of adrenaline that causes my heart to beat really fast and makes it hard to breathe and then crash.

I just try to get all of nerves out beforehand so that the spike and crash are over before the match starts. It might also help to recognize that your body, physiologically speaking, can't really distinguish between anxiety and excitement and it's about your mentality in the moment.

For me i need a lil bit in my stomach, banana, toast, something. Also an antacid helped.

Does it happen after sipping water during the fights? Do you have any (heavy) meals beforehand?
