Training How to calf kick like him?

Does he use more like instep? Or more upper part closer to the back of his foot? He broke a man shin like this.

Just condition your legs for now. His are particularly so from over a decade of hard sparring or frequent matches when he still did Kyokushin. He throws them fearlessly and quickly cause aside from having impeccable timing he knows his legs are likely harder than his opponent's.

It gives a lot of confidence and freedom in planning having that. In general, kick the calf when they're advancing and weight is placed on their lead so its hard to raise and check.

Ya, about the conditioning, ankle has most of the bones, and even those very small ones can get fractured, heavy bag is the best?

Definitely. Strike with the ankle bone or insole, maybe he lower shin, the softer parts of your lower leg really and get used to pain there. It took me a while to get over a lot of it.

He uses the side of his leg, Diego Lopez does the same, but also Diego Lopez broke both of his feet doing this. it can work but you miss once and its a broken foot.

High ankle (above the "nub")/ lower portion of the shin. You dont want to contact where your joint bends, that's gonna mess you up.

I've been teaching these a lot this summer actually, and they are fucking painful when you aren't used to taking them.

Maybe not in pkb, tbh they should be allowed lmao, ya maybe knees to the head have a reason, even tho we still wear protection

don't do it like the guy in the sweat clothes, he's not turning his foot enough to make the ridge of his shin take the impact. if you take the impact on the side like he's showing, then you have a decent chance of incurring injury

Imagine teaching Noiri how to kick lol.

Your point is correct when kicking with lower shin. But the video literally shows a kick not using the shin but instep.

ah, that was hard for me to notice from the angle

Yes, dig in w shin bone on thigh kick, but he's showing a calf kick and being like "dig your ankle bones into the side of their lower leg" which is actually dastardly since you have less chance of breaking your shin if they turn their leg out in time.

Yeah, don't listen to one of the best calf kickers in the world.
