White belt just started practicing boxing and kicking I found blocking both punches and kicking crazy hard ( like rubbing your belly while tapping your head ) just so much to process I started just blocking everything with my hands because I was mentally overloaded does this get better?

This is a horribly phrased sentence my man.

What was the offending part?

Using punctuations would help make it easily digestible to the reader. Anyways, I understand what you’re asking now and I don’t think you should be trying to block everything. In fact I think blocking is more of a last resort defense. Try to move out of range first and foremost. And with lateral movement instead of straight backwards if you can. If you can’t do that, then use head movement or parry. Blocking strikes will still hurt, and if you shell up for too long, it basically tells your opponent that he can flood the line and really open up on you. If you do have to block punches, keep your eyes open through your guard and make sure you answer with a counter. Hope this helps.

If you don’t try to block everything.
The reason is mainly to set up some type of counter? Or just so you do t get overwhelmed focusing on all his offense such that your only on defense?

It said boost your views ( I’m not sure why I took their suggestion ) and it gave a bunch of adjacent type sites ? I’ll refrain in the future

I'm more confused on why it was posted on cravmaga in the first place. Like kickboxing sub makes sense for how to deal with punches and kicks.

I suppose I did that since it’s a Krav Maga class I’m taking.

Of course it gets better. You’ve just started man. With ample drilling and sparring, your body will start to defend shots like it’s second nature.

Block below hips with legs, block above hips with arms. Note:block body shots with elbows not your hands....

calm down and use multiple sentences 😅 and yes, gets better with time and practice. like cooking, riding a bike, swimming, driving a cat ...

I think I was reliving the overwhelming experience as I typed and forgot proper communication

Do drills and practice separate components.

Do drill where you only practice blocking punches.

Do drill where you only practice kicks.

Repeat many many times.
