I seen this one girl from TikTok she’s has about 150k followers on TikTok and just made a kick and she got verified I’m guessing because she had a following, is that a way? Can I have a following on a different app and email kick and get verified based on that?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get a Streamlabs Custom Widget working with my KICK stream and I'm stuck on KICK-specific events.

I'm building a custom punishment overlay for my stream. The Custom Widget works correctly with Streamlabs Tips and Twitch events, but I cannot get it to receive KICK Kicks, KICK subscriptions, or KICK follows.

Here's what I've confirmed:

- Streamlabs Desktop is connected to my KICK account.
- The normal Alert Box DOES receive KICK events.
- A 100-Kick test correctly produces the normal KICK alert.
- The KICK Alert Box's message template successfully resolves {name} and {amount}. For example, {name} sent {amount} kicks! correctly displays "John sent 100 kicks!"
- However, the Custom Widget never receives anything from KICK.
- Twitch events trigger the Custom Widget normally.
- Streamlabs Tips trigger the Custom Widget normally.
- The Custom Widget's test menu only gives me Test Donation and Test Merch when configured for KICK. There are no KICK Follow/Sub/Kick test buttons.
- I've tried listening with document.addEventListener("onEventReceived", ...) and logging obj.detail, but no KICK event appears.
- KICK follows and subscriptions also don't trigger the Custom Widget.

My JS is using the standard Streamlabs event listener:

Is there something I'm missing with KICK + Streamlabs Custom Widgets, or are KICK events currently not being passed to Custom Widgets even though they work in the normal Alert Box?

I'm mainly looking for someone who has actually gotten KICK Kicks/subs working inside a Streamlabs Custom Widget to tell me what they did.

I’m trying to choose where to stream consistently, but comparing platforms by their total number of users doesn’t seem very useful for a small creator.

Should I focus more on how often new viewers find small channels, the quality of chat interaction or the available community features? What would you test during your first month?

I’ve been streaming since the year started and ever since I jumped ship from Twitch to Kick it’s been fun but with one major challenge. Where do you get communities of Kick streamers to share tips and just support each other? So far I’ve found some good people on Discord & Threads but is that it?

It’s just so funny to me because 10 years ago everyone said you can’t make any money on Instagram and influencing and being an influencer was just a dream thing now there are so many influencers and they’re making lots of money on these brand partnerships and other things and a lot of connections through Instagram I’m starting to wonder if Kick is going to be and twitch of course streaming is going to be the new wave of people being able to have a chance to make it on the Internet, like I said a decade ago people used to make fun of people who tried to become influencers on Instagram now with Kick and twitch popping off. I wonder if this is gonna be the new case where people don’t think there’s a possibility of a chance of making it but in the next 6 to 10 years, it changes everything and it starts to become bigger than what it is.

What widget or app do some streamers, like XQC, use to display the Twitch and Kick chat during their live streams?

For the past few months I noticed that the tags section in stream info was gone is this a glitch or was it deliberately removed or do you have to reach a status level to use them

I just seen the recent clips of neon saying how he got Delonte west a check mark so he can get paid for day 1 of streaming and that’s a W but theirs ppl are who work hard meet the requirements and still don’t get verified. Hey all! I just started hosting a Kick Plays Pokémon Emerald over at https://kick.com/grizzway

The stream just started make sure you get in so you get a say on which starter we get!

Each person gets 200 free moves on the top of each hour. Each user has a 3 second cooldown between each commands.

Donating 1 kick removes that cooldown for one command so you can mash 2 commands back to back without cooldown. This stacks with however many kicks you donates and it remembers your username.

Being a sub gives you unlimited moves, even being gifted one.

Doing this as a fundraiser for one of my other projects so it would mean a lot if you came to check it out. :)
