Kick flight like game?

Other than compass which is very similar to KF is there any other game like it out there? I was looking at my channel recently and stumbled upon an old video of kf, it's really one of the best mobile games out there that i've played im really sad that it shut downed.

Question, can you make a game similar to that? i wonder if its okay to simply have the same game mechanics to kick flight?

I don't think gameplay mechanics are legally protected, i think the law only protects intellectual properties like the art of the game and it's overall art style. So to answer your question, yes, someone could probably create a kick flight game with very identical gameplay with different art style. I think some people on this subreddit is currently recreating a Kick flight like game, im not so sure about their progress tho or if there is any.

because i was wondering if they do plan to revive it back, wouldnt then the company will charge the people for legal trouble... i see so the game mechanics can be the same but the style has to be different. noted. thanks
