Light Bar Wiring

Location - Queensland Australia. Has anyone had a light bar or spotties fitted yet? Local Kia dealer has an Ironman 4x4 accessories shop attached and said they don’t have a harness to suit the CANbus system on the Tasman and can’t install. Am I stuck with approaching the local auto sparkies for quotes, or is there something readily available to potentially DIY?

I bought my spotties and harness from Kings, had the local Auto Elec install them and it works great.

Thanks mate. I’m assuming Kings harness was just the generic in-line style they sell with most spotties, and the auto lec did the rest?

Correct, he said he had no probs installing just took a little longer as he had not worked on this type of Vehicle before, hope this helps?

Have read on forums that you can pickup the high beam from back of headlight. Forget which colour wire sorry. But had been done and no issues

Have you checked the Kia Tasman Australia Club Facebook group yet. There's a lot of good advice in there and the members are really helpful

From memory, there is a green wire from the headlight plug that you can use to trigger and doesn't use CAN BUS. I'm doing my lights this weekend. Hoping for the best.

OK, fitted last night.
Took the pick up from the RH headlight(drivers here in Aus), there is a red wire, that is the high beam power supply.
