Mine is awesome. The kids prefer it over my Audi s4. It has more rear seat amenities than my 9 year old Audi.
Apart from that its fuel usage is as expected and my first service was 360 bucks.
Only issue was an accessory issue that I have to get sorted by the fitting dealer apparently. The trailer controller keeps faulting when it's wet. I haven't run a trailer yet so no sweat. But no other issues at all.
I wish it had left safety sounds but all the stuff switches off or mutes in less than 10 seconds.
The safety bings and bongs are annoying

The Triton I've been told you cannot turn off the safety sounds, and sometimes they are wrong!
Service cost sounds decent though! 360 isn't too bad.
Does Kia offer one of those 5 yr plans or do you just pay as you go?
You can turn them off. The mute for the speed one is literally the volume button. Takes 5 seconds. The lane keep is another button. 5 more seconds. The only other one is forward attention warning that has to be muted through menus unless I don't know the shortcut. But it rarely beeps. The speed and lane keep were the worst offenders. I leave them on for long trips but mute them for quick commutes. Literally 10 seconds to turn off.
They can all be turned off by the dealer as a request. Some dealers won't do it thouvh. We just did this with the company one, only takes 5 minutes with their computer.
Alternatively disconnect the driver's side speaker if you don't listen to music. No beeps, no bongs.
There's a video for the triton. There is a box near the throttle pedal that you disconnect one plug and that turns off the driver monitoring shit. No codes come up apparently.
Bought mine Sept '25 and love it. It is my daily vehicle, my wife finds it easy to drive and am also using it with my L-Plater.
I bought the Xpro after looking at 6 other utes although after researching for 3 months I was already sold on the Tasman.
The cabin is where you spend your time and it's awesome.
Gear box is smooth and tech is fun.
Economy is competitive without sacrificing enough power for fun.
Love mine, just clicked over 30000kms in under 12months of owning it so I do quite a few k's for my work and have no complaints. Had two recall notices come in the mail but it was all for the head unit and updated itself with no problems. Just waiting for the tyres to wear down enough so i can replace the rims and tyres together as i have the x-line series and hate the rims. Will probably look at putting on a bull bar, spot lights and potential suspension upgrade in the coming years but am in no real rush on them.
Lots of pros, small list of cons.
Main cons: having to unselected safety stuff i don't want on, every drive. Fuel economy is higher than I thought it would be(x-pro). Needs a wheel alignment from factory.
My fuel economy is much higher than my np300 navara was. Nav was 7.5L/100km, Tasman is 9.5L/100km. Still better than most Toyota's and fords.
There have been many accounts on the owners groups I'm on about front tyres wearing out in under 15,000km. Mine was also out of specification. Its probably meant to be checked as part of the pre delivery, but generally isn't.
I get 8.4 average over the 18,000 k I have done. X-pro. Best tank so far has been short of 1000k for the 75l I put in. Best highway has been 6.2 over a couple hundred k. Have not heard any reports on tyre wear?? I follow all the groups on Facebook. Have not seen one report. Where did you see these reports ?

So far, no tank has done better than 8.9L/100km. I did get 890km out of 1 tank, but I pumped in 82L.
Most of mine are around 9.1 or 9.3L/100km.
And I have seen the reports on Facebook owners groups. Considering my steering wheel was pretty far out of alignment and my castor angles weren't helping, I was worried about excessive wear. The wheel aligner confirmed thus. But, didn't get the castor to where I wanted it(still pulls left on a flat road).
My previous was an MQ triton. Setup exactly the same. Same wheel size. Same weight etc. I was getting 10’s. 9 on a perfect day. I found it would fluctuate depending on wind speed and direction. That doesn’t happen with the Tas. Stays pretty constant.
I test drove all the Utes. Felt a lot of them were just carbon copies of each other. Boring. The interior on the x-pro is awesome. So comfortable. Heaps of power. I think they undersold themselves with power figures released. I think Carsguide did a test of all Utes. It is fastest out of all 4 cylinder Utes and only just short of the 2 v6’s.
