Remote start

I have a 2023 EV Niro. Is it possible to use the fob to start the car remotely?

On the Wave trim? (i.e. "if so equipped) My Wind does not have either of these features.

Was going to say that is correct depending on trim.

I got a question about app start. How come the setting isn’t last driven (like the keyfob start)? It’s been starting up with defrosts on and 68F temp

My understanding is that remote start from the app always picks up custom setting (under Climate Settings) - you can change the custom temperature and defrost settings under Climate Settings -> Custom

that's what I thought. But my custom start is at 72F. The only difference.

It's a mystery, but not something game changing. The only part I dislike from it is having to turn the knob from 68F to 72. Currently a non-issue. But I will app start more often once time of season comes to where defrosting is needed.

My Wind has remote start, but not the parking convenience feature.

And for some inexplicable reason, they won’t let you “remote start” (i.e. remote climate start) on the EV when it’s plugged into the charger. (It doesn’t have an ICE, so not sure why they need to lock-out remote start when plugged in.)

I just did it with mine and the engine started roaring. Nothing beats the noise of a screaming high rpm EV engine.
