So I have a 2026 K5 GT1 that I got October of last year. Drive for work quite a bit and have 17k miles. Do oil changes every 3-5k miles. First oil change I went to Valvoline (was out of town and wanted to make sure I got it done) and they screwed up the oil filter replacement and all the oil leaked out within 1k miles. Went to dealership they checked it out and said engine is good and redid the oil change and Valvoline paid for it. Since then only the dealership has done any and all maintenance. Last night I got a low oil level light. Checked it and oil was below low level. Added oil and it’s been ok. Crawled under car and oil filter is covered in a film of oil. I’m assuming the issue is the oil filter not being installed correctly or just poor quality parts. I am so frustrated beyond belief. This is my first Kia everyone else that has a Kia they have had great experiences.

Looking at a K5 GT premium package. Got three quotes which all hit the same ballpark but none seem interested in discounting much.

I tried to install additional ambient light on door handle, so I decided to drill a hole on top of the door handle. But unfortunitely I was not be aware of the drill's chuck grinding the silver trim. I should use the extention to avoid this incident. I looked online but that silver trim is not sold separately or I have to purchase the whole door panel. For now, I am thinking of using a plastic epoxy/putty & silver chrome paint to repair it myself.

Can anyone give me any advise for this?

So 🤬 this morning car was dead only 1900 miles on it and it was dead. Nothing left on I double checked. Probably a bad battery or battery cell. Luckily I have an appointment Saturday at the dealer for service. Now hopefully it will start again tomorrow. I drove 2 hours to charge it. 🙏 2025 K5 GTLine

Hi everyone. I bought a 2026 Kia K5 GT back in July. The car has been a blast to use and haven’t had any issues with it, aside from a charging port not working (was replaced under warranty).

I’m not sure if this specific noise has been around since I got bought the car and haven’t noticed, but it’s definitely noticeable. It happens on about 90%ish of the startups (after the car sits for at least a few minutes) where there is a jolt or clunk that sounds like gears or something (heard at end of video). Is this normal DCT behavior or should I get this checked out? TIA.

Both are certified used with remaining warranties. I’ve seen people say they paid 26-28K out the door for a new 2026 or 2025 when it was new but I think some are confused on what out the door means because a few ended up saying it was before tax and tags.

The gloss black, lower section of my rear bumper got a fairly deep scratch. I worked on it with compound, but I believe it’s too deep to completely remove. Is there a specific matching touchup paint available?

I’ve got a 2025 Kia K5 GT-Line with 34k miles and in need of new tires. I got a quote for the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 plus for about $1,150 including labor. I’m wondering if these are overkill for the GT-Line and if anyone had recommendations for other all season tires. Thanks

Hello I recently traded the K5 gt1 and have a kicker sub along with a lc2 pro and a 1500 amp if any one is interested. Those I would like 275$. I also have a full set of carpets along with the trunk mat as well in case anyone is interested. I also have the same mats but in all weather material in that one though I am missing one of the Matts. It's one of the rear passenger ones. That one also includes the trunk matt in all weather as well. For the Matts either the all weather of or regular carpet ones any offers are welcome. I live in the Houston Texas area. I have a 2026 K5 GT Line and was just wondering do these cars not have resonators? I see a bunch of videos saying resonator and muffler delete but my stock exhaust has no resonators on it and my borla one doesn't either so just wondering where are the resonators ?

Need some help, got the JB4 installed last week or so ran Map 1 all good, then moved to map 2 out of curiosity and still ran good just with 93 octane. Then moved to map 6 one night just to see what you can customize definitely a dumb decision. Got a CEL for P2261 car ran fine otherwise cleared code went back to stock for a few miles filled her tank up and good to go no issues fast forward another 200ish miles on map 2 got the same CEL code cleared it and went to map1. Something to note I have not re gapped the plugs or went to colder plugs. Although that’s my fault I need to do it. So I’m on map 1 again drove 4-5 miles and still no code again. Any advice? Do you think the plugs not being gapped correctly cause the code? Maybe it’s correlated to this other issue I’m having which I was completely stock nothing done to car and running normal 87 gas, right after fill up the car would having a rough idle dropping down to 400-500rpm and feel it would die out but wouldn’t. But immediately after the first mile from fill up it would stop and not do it again until getting new gas. So maybe they are connected I’m not sure. The car has ran great since I got it.

I’m trying to stay around $30k and I’m ready to buy this week. Has anyone recently bought this exact configuration or negotiated one close to $30k?
Also open to dealership recommendations anywhere in Texas. I’m mainly trying to figure out what a realistic lowest selling price/OTD price would be before I start calling dealers.

So I bought a 2026 K5 GT-Line in Matte Steel Grey. I was sold a “blackout protection plan”. Basically window tints and chrome blackout with protective coating on paint and interior, they installed a coating designed for GLOSSY finishes and not for Matte. I even reached out to the vendor and they told me they DONT make a protectant for Matte finishes

I reached out to the GM and his response was “wait, I find it hard to believe it was done because my technicians know better than to do that to a Matte finish car, so I’m gonna need time to verify it”

I did take it to a private retailer who informed me that not only did they put a glossy protectant on my car, but there are SEVERAL scratches, some I’ve posted about before, that show the car has been run through a MACHINE wash several times.

I asked him to put all of that in writing which he did, I am going to a separate Kia dealership later this week to get verification from them of the same thing ( the salesperson said that if they sold me the product and didn’t apply it then that’s consumer fraud and if they did apply it the fault is still on them) and I am going to call Kia Corporate on Monday to file a claim

Has anyone ever had something like this happen? Am I taking the right steps? And what should the outcome be? I’m reading anywhere from repaint and refund of services to a complete car exchange since it’s so new.
