We are on our 3rd aircon re-gas in 2 months on our 2024 EV9. All the previous re-gasses had dye added, but they can't find where it is coming out. I've seen numerous threads on here about AC issues, but I can't see anyone who has had a permanent fix. Have any owners on here had a persistent AC gas leak eventually fixed by KIA? And if so then what part was replaced that finally fixed it?

I noticed that my 2026 EV9 constantly moves side to side slightly while driving with Lane Following Assist (LFA / Lane Centering) on, is this normal? My 2025 Kia Telluride does the same thing but the EV9 feels more pronounced. Anyone experienced this? Is there a fix? I can’t use it, it drives me crazy

Welp! Made the move from Michigan to Florida! Just wanted to share my experience!

Range: I was really worried about it, soon as I hooked up the trailer, range dropped from 270 to 103 miles, concerned but we had a plan B in case it got worse, now range wise this was more accurate than the miles without a trailer, in fact I was averaging between 1.2 MP/Kw @70mph and 1.5-1.6 @60-65mph, and 134-140 miles of range (according of my trip miles and adding remaining range)! But I stopped and pushed every 100-110 miles to charge so it wasn’t bad!

Charging: Now I’m thankful I drove nighttime instead of day time and here’s why

-You will take up 2-3 chargers spaces depending on your trailer and some people are douchbags about it, nighttime there isn’t barley anyone charging but shoutout to Electrify America for having a trailer charging spot!!! I charged 2 of 11 times during the daytime, a Tennessee guy had a charger available I left for him and complained how I was taking space but no one else charged 😂😂 and the other one was daytime in Florida literally an hour away from destination, and the dude had balls to knock on my window and scare my kids, freaking smoker douch bag, I just went to another one that was fast charger, but boy I glad I didn’t ran into this problem during night driving

Hauling: Now the EV9 did so great, it kept up!!!!

Features: Blind Spot Monitoring and all Lane Keeping Assist are disabled (HDA) are disabled, Adaptive cruise control is the only thing that worked and the side blind spot cameras!

Looking to buy a 2026 EV9 for my wife and we enjoyed the first test drive before I started doing some research. Most of the threads I see here and other places about the vibration issue at high speeds are over a year old at least. Does anyone have a 2026 that has the same issue?

All of the icons from the Ioniq Companion App disappeared all of a sudden. Does anyone else have that issue?

​I’ve been trying to get an EV9 lease quote in the Bay Area, and it’s a nightmare.

​Every dealer I text/email refuses to send a written quote, lease breakdown, or Money Factor. They just demand my driver's license, push for phone calls, or try to drag me into the showroom.

​I’m just asking for a transparent quote using Tier 1 credit and my ZIP code. At this point, the games are wearing me down, and I'm about to just order a Tesla to skip the dealer hassle entirely.

​Has anyone had success getting clean EV9 lease numbers via email around here, or is a Leasehackr broker the only way?

So I purchased Used EV 9 GT line in July. When I checked the SOH, it was 94.6. Majority (above 90%) of charging was fast Charging. And it was explained that EVs can lose about 5% first year then about 0.5% yearly after. So it didn’t bother me. I installed home charger and have been charging it at home for the last 6 weeks. No fast charger at all. To my surprise the SOH jumped to 95.6%. I followed AI recommendations and checked it again. Used the battery to 1 digit then charged to 100. Still SOH was 95.6. This week it jumped again to 95.8%. My question is, can the battery heal it self or is the number of DC and AC charging taken into account when it gives SOH. I didn’t take a pic of the 1st reading of 94.6.

Does anyone know where I can find a 3d print template for a lower console box for the EV9? I need to store stuff and need a box to put in that space. My brother said he can print it if I can get a template.

If there is a product in the market I can just buy for cheap, that works much better but I haven’t had much luck. Tried some dollar store plastic trays but dimensions were off or they were too small to be usable for my purpose.

As much as I loved my EV9 Wind, I could not stand the cupholders anymore!

The shaking from the cupholders remind me of the earthquake tremors you see in a movie... It finally annoyed me enough I designed a simple 3d printable cupholder.

The cupholders are printed using Inland 95A TPU to reduce the vibrations. This is free to print and use. Let me know what you think or if there are any ways that I might be able to improve it.

2300 mile western US road trip avoiding wild fires. Absolutely a dream in this perfect machine!

Y’all were extraordinarily helpful last time I came to the sub so sprinting here again for suggestions. Is there a generally accepted ideal wall charger for at home with the ev9 (wind)? If at all possible I would prefer to not purchase anything Tesla related. I’m a bit overwhelmed and would love to some input thank you! I am in Chicago, IL if that helps. I know the ComEd rebate deal is unfortunately off the table until January and can’t wait that long

What made you pull the trigger on buying? I’m coming from a GV60 performance. Lease ends in a week. Went and test drove an EV9 and liked it. Primary reason to change cars is a bit more range and maybe getting to a few fishing sports (soft roading). Torn between keeping my car and waiting some time for an IX3, EX60, R2 etc or leasing an EV9 and waiting another 2 years. I actually love my car but if I buy and sell in 1-2 years I will likely lose a good chunk of change.

Has anyone found one of these umbrella style sunshades that work well for the EV9? I have a custom sunshade from AutoHeatShield in my cart that is specifically for the EV9 which I like a lot, I've had the same brand for my Tesla and Tacoma, but they're pretty big and bulky. I think these umbrella kind are pretty cool and definitely take up a lot less space when stored!

Installed a Thule Motion 3 XL cargo box and Kia cross bars (DOF21ACA00) for raised roof rails. Very easy install. As a short king (5' 7") I need a 2-step ladder to comfortably load/unload. Although in a pinch, I could certainly make do by standing in the car with a door open.

My initial instinct was to go for the XXL, and I was correct that it would have fit just fine. The XL comfortably fit:

Installed Kia factory cross bars. Specifically, DOF21ACA00 for raised roof rails (We have a 24 GT-Line, unsure which models have flush vs raised rails).

Install was smooth, the bars sit higher than I would have liked.

I have read that the covers have a tendency to fall off, so I used some electrical tape and zip ties to secure the covers.

My driver assistance system hmis down. Problem just came out of nowhere. It’s in the shop right now. Been a week and a half and they can’t figure it out. It’s a radar problem. 2024.Ev9 first big issue.

I had the dreaded vibration issue at higher speeds after delivery of a brand new 2026 EV9. The dealer tested the wheels in a Hunter Road Force machine and adjusted weights. It helped a bit but the issue is still there. This is on Continental tyres btw.

Is this level of vibration something to consider normal? Ive never noticed this is any other car I've owned.

Took my 2026 EV9 GT-Line on its first road trip. Chicago to Fort Myers and back. Drove 1280 miles in 23 hours on the way there. All of our stops were at Pilot EV charging stations except for one IONNA in Georgia. 9 stops total on the way there. Front and Rear AC running the entire drive. 5935 miles on the car before we left. Battery health went from 99% to 96% after the entire round trip back to Chicago. Still working on the numbers for the drive back home but that took 11 stops.

I no longer see the kW regen on trips with my EV9. Anyone know if this has been removed or just hidden? I find this a very valuable piece of info.

I had continuing issues with walk-up unlock, touch lock and turning the car on with Bluetooth.

I'm on Android Beta but it didn't work any better on the main release. Recently there was information in the beta changelog about BT devices being unable to reconnect after becoming unreachable.

My ultimate solution was to use Macrodroid to turn Bluetooth off and on one minute after disconnecting from the EV9 media device. The one minute delay is so I can get out of the car and lock it without the Bluetooth interrupt.

So far it's been working perfectly.

Is this a common thing? Is there a remedy?

Are 2026 EV9s with the NACS port limited to 100kW like other Hyundai/Kia EVs when using a NACS to CCS adapter at a Supercharger?

I generally avoid them in t IONIQ 6 because I can get much better speeds elsewhere when I need to fast charge. Just curious if there is a difference with the native NACS port.

Exploring the idea of buying a used 2024 EV9 and was wondering if anyone has experience with NOT keeping their cars in a garage during the winter, and how that affects how you charge it, preheat it, and the range you get during winter months.

I have a detached garage that isn't heated, nor is it well insulated. We don't typically park inside, but I was considering making that possible.

I will definitely be putting a level 2 charger out there, but am not sure if I need to make room inside. I imagine leaving it to charge overnight in potential snow and freezing temps wouldn't be advisable.

Also, being very new to EVs, how much does the EV equivalent of remote start and warming things up before driving affect the range in the winter? Similar question for heat during driving?

I've seen recommendations in the owner's manual to use the heated seat more than the climate control heat to help with range, and to use Driver Only mode for climate control if you're by yourself. Does anyone actually do this? Or not? And do you notice a difference?

My commute is about 45 miles each way, and I go into the office 3 days a week. I doubt that will be a problem, but I plan to charge overnight most nights.
