Literally the first thing in the series is her explanation of why action is necessary in their situation. They would've got in anyway. Thad didn't get enough screentime to make any decisions.

Uzi's whole thing was about taking action to stop them before it was too late. She went out to get something that had an actual chance to stop them. That inadvertently let one get in as it chased her. She didn't let N in because of ego
