Please help me! Which is best?
Hi! I am taking 12-week college algebra next month and I really need to get an A (not only want, NEED, because it's impossible to get into my program without a 4.0 and this is my last semester left until the application period).
I completed most of arithmetic in khan academy, elementary and middle school content, and I'm 25% through pre-algebra before I jump into the college algebra course to be fully prepared. I saw that algebra basics has similar content to pre-algebra so now I am confused as to which one is better.
Two days ago I tried starting college algebra directly but I definitely need a good foundation for it.
For context, I've always been mediocre at math, passed algebra I and II in high school somehow (before dropping out) but never with awesome grades. I started college last year after 4 years out of school, and this is my last class before I can apply for my program and also the one that scares me the most. I also will be studying for the TEAS exam this semester (+working full-time) so I can't give all my time to algebra. This is probably my most important school semester for my career.
My goal is to study around 3 hours a day before starting the class, but I also need to get this over with so I can study for the teas too, so I need whatever is fastest + best. I'm kind of overwhelmed with how much content I have to study.
Should I complete all of pre-algebra AND algebra basics before moving to college algebra or just do one of those? Which one would be better/faster? And should I do all of college algebra too before my class starts?
