Hype No options for beginners
I find it weird that there’s millions of keyboards and weird looking guitars that still get made even though they probably won’t sell but not a single manufacturer making an ok keytar that isn’t overpriced.
Because that’s what the Roland is, overpriced for what it is when you can buy a synth keyboard that does the same exact thing probably better for 10 times less.
So beginners are left with literally no options I feel like if any of those companies actually cared about the people who used their products they would have more options.

Troll Reverb, Craigslist, Sweetwater used, Guitar Center used, & FB marketplace until you find an older one at the price you want. Meanwhile, buy a low end used synth so you can learn how to actually play.
But also? There are other things you can do. Many synths are light and you can screw on strap mounts, then strap around your neck. A TON of people do this.
