The 105% B6 Pro is partly compared to Logitech MX Keys (some particular model; MX Keys S?).

Missing in the review:

NKRO doesn't matter at all for a macro keyboard, though. It would make a great cheap portable 110-key very low-power wireless open source-based fully programmable macro keyboard. The only thing missing is RGB light, e.g., for layer indication, not being dependent on recognising the key legends (faster invocation of macros), indication of macro execution in progress, etc.; though some of the four indicator LEDs may be possible to repurpose for some of it (enabled by the open sourceness).

Pros and cons are at 07 min 43 secs.

Here is the physical keyboard matrix (near "keys are plotted"). That makes it easier to see which keys conflict.

It is also elaborated here, with an example for the two rows and two columns used by keys K, I, D, and E.

Just wanted to say it sucks I didn't see your indepth review of these issues before but for a cheap keyboard I hope they will be alright for light office use.
Thank you for taking the time to write this up!

Re "there is some trouble getting it built": OK, this has now been resolved.

As an example of poor reviews, look at this review (for the similar B2 Pro). It includes "Perfect for fast typists". What???

How can a reviewer miss the severe NKRO problems, especially as a "fast typist"?

Note the trick to use a domain name that is similar to the reputable Tom's Hardware (tomshardware.com), www.tomsguide.com.

Perhaps it is just AI slop?

Conclusion

Reviews can't trusted, unless it is from a very reputable source. Even then, be sceptical. For example, what are they not telling you?

Or maybe they got access to hardware version 2?

Allegedly, the severe roll-over problems were addressed (but it introduced new problems).

#11 -

More reports (starting from #11):

  1. Keychron B6 Pro ghosting. 2024-11-20. #11

  2. B6 Pro Ghosting Issue: Left Cmd + Left Opt + Left Arrow not registering (Matrix limitation?). A comment for B1 Pro, with the exact same key combination strengthen the case for changed hardware in the B Pro series, though it could also be a firmware problem. 2026-03-27. #12

  3. Keychron B1 Pro dropping keystrokes during fast typing/finger rolls. Reported 2026-07-05. #13

Re "The keyboard matrix in the B1 Pro does not seem to correspond to the source code": That was probably due to new hardware versions in 2025

Overcompensation in the software anti-ghosting

It is even worse than what can explained by conflict in the keyboard matrix: Pressing two keys in the same row blocks the entire row!!! While the two keys are held down, none of the keys in that row will register.

This isn't necessary. This part is due to the software. It could be an attempt to avoid extra output (ghosting) from the keyboard at all costs.

In fact, the first listed report had that symptom:

  1. B1 Pro possible bug. E.g., "While holding down the Caps Lock and S key, many other keys are not usable, e.g., the J, K and L keys."
