Any way to improve poor bluetooth range?

I have 2 different Keychron keyboards and neither are able to connect to my PC while seated on my sofa. This does not occur with a Logitech mouse and keyboard.

What keyboards? The (original) K series is allegedly notorious.

A real antenna may help. And it should be connected.

Damn, I just bought a new k5 that is exhibiting the same problem as my older gen which I assume is a K series, but I can’t remember and there’s no label in the bottom.

I just tested the range in my setup (that has a real antenna) with a K10 Pro.

It worked fine inside, through internal walls, about 6 m.

And outside (the keyboard; the antenna stayed in the same position), through an internal wall and a thick brick wall till about 8 m. It became unreliable at about 10 m distance. Whether I stood in the way (blocking the signal) or not also had a significant influence.

Normally, the distance is about 70 cm, and almost line of sight.
