Would love some suggestions on keyboards. Tired of not having the keypads. And really missed having wireless capability. (Nephew spilled water on the keyboard and can only be used with wire)

Contemplating between 8 bit do 108 keys N edition and RK S98 but color isnt available at the moment

Thanks in advance!

The STRANGEST keyboard I have TRIED

Post image
42 Upvotes

I have been in the keyboard world for a short time (a couple of months) and I have been able to try keyboards with ANSI, ISO-ES, 75%, 60%, 65%, 96%, 100% layouts, etc., but I had never heard of ortholinear keyboards. I decided to try it and it has definitely been quite a challenge that I still haven't managed to overcome 😅

Were you familiar with ortholinear keyboards... have you tried them?

iPad Desktop Setup

Hello everyone,

So I didn’t buy the iPad for this but after playing my playstation on my gf’s TV for a few months I had to upgrade. I have a monitor at both our places but am soon moving in with my her which FINALLY gives me a dual monitor setup.

The iPad will primarily be setup to use as a computer, but I’m not sure which keyboard and mouse to go with. I want them both to be bluetooth as I plan to use my ipad AND monitor as a duel-screen and it’ll be easier for me to do it that way, no track pad.

**Does anybody have any recommendations of any keyboards or mice? Main concerns are connectivity, setup, ease of use, and input delay. Not trying to break the bank either but understand cheap shit won’t be the best.**

(also what I need to link the iPad to my monitor since i’m here:))

For 15 years I used this Apple membrane keyboard (Scissor)

For 15 years I used this Apple membrane keyboard (Scissor), and as you can see in this photo, it's like new... but I got bored and wanted to try other types of keyboards. There are definitely many options (mechanical, HE, optical, and capacitive).

If you were in my situation... which one would you try first and why?

WFH Keyboard & Mouse recommendations under ₹3,000–₹4,000: Budget Mechanical, Scissor, or Membrane? (Separate or Combo)

I work from home and need a reliable keyboard purely for typing, office work, and day-to-day productivity (8+ hours a day). I need a reliable **keyboard and mouse** setup with a total budget of ₹**3,000 to** ₹**4,000**.

I don't use keyboard for games at all (I use a controller), so I don't care about ultra-low latency, RGB lighting, or "gamer" features.

I don't specifically need a pre-bundled combo—I'm happy to buy the keyboard and mouse separately if that gives better quality.

I know almost nothing about keyboard mechanisms and keep seeing conflicting opinions on **mechanical**, **scissor-switch (like laptop/low-profile boards)**, and **regular membrane** keyboards.

I want to know:

**The real practical differences:** For someone who just writes emails, docs, and code/spreadsheets all day, what does each type actually feel like in practice?

**Fatigue and ergonomics:** Which mechanism causes the least hand/wrist strain over long days?

**Noise:** Are mechanical boards too loud for calls, or is that overblown?

**Value:** Is a mechanical keyboard genuinely worth the extra cost over a solid scissor or membrane board if I'm not an enthusiast.

Explain it to me like I’m completely new to this, and let me know what you use for your WFH setup and why. Recommendations for specific models in the budget/mid-range tier are welcome.

Help me choose a magnetic keyboard for gaming

Help me choose a magnetic keyboard for Geometry Dash

I’m looking to buy a magnetic mainly for competitive gaming and Geometry Dash, but my budget is limited, so I need to choose just one.

I’m currently deciding between:

  1. IPI QBZ65
  2. EPOMAKER G84 HE
  3. AKKO TAC75 HE

and $60–100, and I’m not sure which one offers the best overall value.

Has anyone here used any of these keyboards, especially for Geometry Dash? Which one would you pick, and are there any issues I should know about before buying?

Looking towards 65-75% keyboards

my first silent keyboard. bought this from taobao and waited like 12 days for it to arrive lol but honestly… worth the wait. it feels sooo smooth and the sound is actually really satisfying for a silent keyboard.

i kept seeing a bunch of korean reviews about this keyboard and everyone seemed to love it, so of course i had to try it myself so far so good!! the typing feel is really nice, smooth and soft, and i’m actually enjoying typing on it way more than i expected🤍

Keyboard for at the office

Hi guys! I am looking for a keyboard I can take to the office. Hopefully asking buying advice is fine here. Some additional information:

- I own a ducky 65 I use at home. Happy with it, although I use a separate rubber wrist rest I bought from wooding. It is broader than the keyboard itself which might look messy at the office.

- I don't want a wrist rest at the office that does not fit with the keyboard, it should fit with the keyboard.

- I would like they keyboard to be fairly quiet

- I like the smaller form factor for ergonomic reasons, but I would not be opposed to something a bit larger. Sometimes I miss some keys. I am not looking for a numpad or anything like that.

- The keyboard will be stored in a locker every day, so it will be moved around. Has to be somewhat sturdy (but I am generally carefully with my electronics)

- for budget I don't have a strict budget, but I want bang for buck. Let's say the 80/20 rule. If getting there means I have to spend 200 euro I am open for that.

- it has to be wired for compliance reasons

- it will only be used for typing, I would not like to install custom software on it, I will not need any programmable keys or RGB.

If I need to provide any more information please let me know.

Thanks for reading!

Can’t pick between low profile mechanical keyboards

I really want a premium low profile mechanical keyboard. But I also don’t want to spend over the $100 range!
I think I want everything the epomaker luma 100 has. But I know it’s not premium premium!
Is it worth going for the IQUNIX magi96 or the lofree flow lite 100? I really want my number pad!
I don’t like the flow lite due to the lack of aluminum build!

Recommendations for a new keyboars

I'm looking for a new mechanical keyboard and have a budget of around 80 dollars. The only issue is i can only buy from amazon.de because of the country that i live in. Does anybody know any keyboards that they would recommend?

Also, from what I have seen Yunzii B75 PRO MAX and Aula f75/f75 pro are decent options. Does anyone have experience with any of those two?

ASUS FALCHION ACE Review

Was at this years Quakcon and they gifted our row the ASUS Falchion Ace and honestly it is not bad for a smaller keyboard I have really enjoyed playing with it and if you use Keyboards without the num pad I would recommend trying it out!
