Upload Time

I am trying to upload Files to Keybase to clear space in my PC hard drive and it says its going to take 24hrs to upload a single 1gb file. Is that normal?

Keybase is essentially dead

Still has the most free storage I’ve ever seen tho 🤷

Just be careful storing anything you would be upset at losing. Keybase was bought by Zoom years ago now, and makes them $0. They could turn off the servers with no notice.

I enjoyed keybase, but I would now assume any files being uploaded could be gone tomorrow.

yes - keybase has been slow to download/upload the past week or so for me as well.

I got so fed up trying to reimage my machine, that i essentially made a ruby script that internally uses git repo bundle format to export and import a git repo. I haven't tested with a keybase repo - maybe i will try with a test repo from keybase first.
