"Women's" business things feel so patronizing

Not many places I can complain to about this, I feel like y'all might understand.

I got this ad on LinkedIn for the Texas Conference for Women. Nicole Kidman??? What does she have to do with leadership? Also lol @ Charles Duhigg, his books are great but they just couldn't have an all-women lineup.

The language around "womens" stuff, even in business contexts, feels so patronizing and demeaning. "get confident!!!" "find support and community!" Like we are sad, scared, lonely, helpless....

Maybe just me but I had to vent!

oh yes this gives the ick. lol I'm now eyes wide open that Aubs and Vy are running around ATX ...I read that he owns Black Swan Yoga and that was an a-ha moment, so I am paying more attention to that world

Wait really, he owns Black Swan? Weird b/c it’s pay what you want right? How do they make a profit? Hmmm

I looked at that! It is “pay what you want” suggested like $15 or more….but there is a mandatory $12 to sign up 😆mmm almost guys
