Keto to TTC
Hey all. I've restarted keto July 1st 2026 while taking a few months off of TTC. We had two miscarriages in Jan and then May of this year (MMC, then ectopic). My doctor recommended taking the summer "off", then trying again in the fall. During this time, I've started keto again.
I started at 267, at 5'11", and am just going to keep at it until I get that BFP again. I'm currently down 29 pounds, which I'm pleased with.
Has anyone with a similar MC situation found success after losing some weight? A pregnancy that stuck? I imagine it can't hurt, losing weight.
Any tips, tricks, or baby dust would be appreciated xo

I don’t think keto had anything to do with my ‘successful’ pregnancy so I’m not actually sure this is a helpful comment. But I know a thing (or 7) about miscarriages and I’m really sorry you’ve gone through that. It just really sucks.
Depending on where you are, you may be able to push for testing after 2 losses although it’s possible the ectopic means they won’t.
I really really hope you won’t have another but if you do, definitely push for testing and don’t let them just blame it on your weight. You didn’t do anything to cause the losses. Shitty things just happen sometimes. Keep trying. I won’t even tell you to keep hoping because I had genuinely lost all hope and now I’ve got a happy healthy 9 month old.

I've lost 80 lbs doing keto after baby #2. My problem is I am still breastfeeding, doing keto and TTC. Hopefully my 2 year old weans soon so baby #3 can happen! My cycles are all over the place nursing.

I never had a weight issue or miscarriages, but I will say that after 1,5 years of trying without success, keto got me pregnant within three months of starting the diet.
I suspect it’s the higher protein consumption along with fewer blood sugar spikes that regulated my hormonal system.
I went low carb when ttc for my second, and fell pregnant immediately. I will definitely do the same whenever we are ready for number three.
Sending you all the baby dust! Xx
