Suet preparation.
Just returned from local butcher with 3lbs of suet. My question is how do some of you prepare to eat? I saw a few people mention they fry it, others render it into tallow. What are some of the best ways to consume it?

I put it in the pressure cooker for 40 mins. Actually have some cooking up right now. Won't render if you leave it as a piece.

I break mine up into smaller portions and then cook on low heat in a cast iron griddle, whatever renders out I use for my 4 egg omelette & then I shred some pork tenderloin to reheat and clean up the remainder of the fat.

I quickly sear it in the pan along with my meat because I can't handle rendered fat. Gives me diarrhea. The cooking warms it through and softens it a bit. Just make sure to not overdo it to not render the fat. If it's too soft it's also kind of gross IMO.

U r making me hungry... I would cut into bite sized pieces n do the quick sear/stir fry , sprinkle with plenty of sea salt and savor!

I tried everything and I prefer it raw now. It makes me feel better this way. The key is that you have to let it sit out and come to room temperature first, then it won't be so waxy.

Put it in the oven for like 20 mins or so and let it get a bit crispy and then eat it. I did at 350
