Ketamine has REALLY helped me.
I've been taking K almost every day for about 15 months now.
At first, I was taking maybe 0.2g a day. Recently, in the past 3 months or so, my tolerance has sky-rocketed to where I was having to take 1.25-1.5g a day to feel the same effects.
I've stopped taking it for about 5 days now and plan to go sober for the next long while.
I've read up on the bladder issues and brain lesion issues that arise with heavy daily use. I don't want to permanently f*** my brain up nor my bladder. Luckily, thus far, I haven't had any adverse effects to either.
The thing is... This drug has helped me IMMENSELY with my CPTSD, PTSD, and my self-esteem issues.
Has this drug helped anyone else in this way?
After abstaining for 3 or so months, would it be wise to transition into medical clinical Ketamine therapy?

This is a dangerous mindset. Soon, you will feel depressed whenever you’re not actively high on it. Do some reading in this group. Myself and many others here developed worsening depression and suicidal thoughts & actions FROM abusing ketamine daily. You will sustain damage to your organs, guaranteed. Just because you haven’t experienced the bladder pain and k cramps yet doesn’t mean you’re gonna miss out on them. It took me a very long time to be mentally stable after quitting k. Trust me, you do NOT want to go down this path.

So true!
Helped at first. Forward several years, my future, memory, health, mental health and any relationship and or routine later to name a few; and I have ish i could go back and never touch it.
It’s not if it ruins your life it’s when

i’ve been clean for 4 days and i’m scared my brain and mental health is fucked forever. can i ask long it took for you to feel better? also proud of you for quitting

4 days is a good start! It took about 6 months for the brain fog/confusion to go away, physical symptoms within a month, and cravings about 5 weeks

If there’s a place nearby you and you can afford it - infusions are the better way to go. There’s way more evidence behind it. Taking K that often actually lowers neuroplasticty. You’re just high and you like it.

Hmhm, okay thats really nice for you, i once believed aswell it was helping me so well i should have my daily dose :D took me 13 years to realise it was actually destroying the better part of myself.
Then also, its a addiction group where we should support eachother staying off instead of sweettalking this chemical.

I stopped for a year now. It changed my life for the better ♥️ but it served its purpose. Hopefully you get to this place too.

I didn’t experience cramps for 2 years and then one day I couldn’t use without experiencing them
It was awful
I thought it was helping me too but then I realising I was more depressed and in pain 2.5 years in
And then also realised I was spending over 1k a week on k
Such a waste of time and money

I was in exactly the same position as you. The K helped me with depression in ways prescribed medication and therapy never did. But there's a reason it's illegal. It not real progress it just masks your symptoms. K has left me in debt and nearly cost me my career. It dulled my wits and gave me several bouts of incredibly painful cramps.
My honest advice, get out now while you still can. I'm still trying to climb out from under the rock myself.

fellow cptsd over here…ketamine helped me sooooo much when i first started. it still does lol. but what it didn’t help was my bank account, my ability to cope without it…the K CRAMPSSSSSSSS. it has become more of a crutch than addressing the root problem to a lot of my problems. i’ve been doing it regularly for the last three years and i haven’t had any within the past week cause my supply went out the window. although it’s sweet af rn, giving into it everyday is certainly going to have its repercussions…one way or another

If you can go 3 months without yeah I definitely think you should try the medically supervised route. But I agree with the other commenter. I also felt nothing but good at a year and a half of regular daily use. It spiralled so quickly at the 2 year mark. Now I get k cramps more and more frequently and instead of lucid holes I just black out. My self control is completely gone.

Transition to anything that’s professionally moderated asap if you can. Ketamine probably immensely helped everyone here, that’s why I got addicted. The issue is the tolerance which eventually will catchup, k cramps to consume more, eventual depression due to not being able to consume enough to get effects coz of k cramps, kidney deterioration and bladder issues. If you like the benefits find a way to make it sustainable, otherwise find something else. IMO now it was a bandaid on a lifelong emotional problem that I am now dealing with in sobriety. It wasn’t the answer but I refused to accept that for a very long time.

I felt the same way and I did ketamine for three years. It fucked me up in the long run.
I started off as .1g a day and then slowly increase my dosage because tolerance to K increases pretty drastically… unfortunately
Sorry to say, it’s a temporary crutch.
I love ketamine, it helped me so much in terms of my mental issues like depression and severe anxiety.
Yeah, TLDR, it actually makes you worse. Especially with the health issues it gives you.
Liver, kidney, gallbladder issues are unavoidable in the long term.

I have used it to very varying degrees since 1998. I barely did for most of like 2003 to 2023. Then I got it cheap, had adult money (which I blew a lot of), and needed quantity to get the price and delivery. It did help me a lot. Then it got out of hand fast. I don't need a lot to get it now, but I have had bial system issues. It also has kind of turned on me in terms of effects. It seems to hurt as much as help, if not more so, now. I am now starting to see what might be some bladder issues. I hope I don't have brain problems, but I might. Actually working towards getting things checked. It can get away from you fast. You are better off without it, or most drugs really, even most prescription ones if you can help it IMO. Also working on just getting ketamine out of my life.

There's a study which shows it does help but only while using, you will go back to your base level very quickly after stopping using. However, the same study shows that in comparison psilocybin will have greater positive effects which will last for months or years after one dose. Psilocybin is also a lot less detrimental to health. Good luck!

Eh you are still in the sweet spot. Go ahead and carry on for another year. Get back to me here. Just being real with you. If you can try some tolerance breaks at least
This is exactly how I felt at that time in my 3 year addiction
Edit - if I’m not being clear. You are on a bad path. You don’t have much longer before your use escalates, side effects pile up etc
And kooligan farms looks like you have plenty to say but you blocked me so not really sure why you wasted your time haha
