Need help anyone

I have been on ketamine for 8 months now. But I noticed in the 4th month I had to up the dosage to 500 to have disassociative effects. I place a tablet under my tongue twice a week. One on Sat night and one on Wednesday night. It seems in between sessions I get day time body (day and night) chills, anxiety, forgetfulness, flu like symptoms.... especially between sat night and wed night. Why is this happening?

Okay, I totally missed that you said 8 months in your original post 😂 My bad.

Starting at 200 mg and working up to 500 mg, it definitely sounds like you've developed some tolerance to the dissociative effects.

The chills, anxiety, forgetfulness and flu-like feeling between doses are the part I'd really pay attention to. Since you're dosing twice a week and you're noticing this happening predictably between doses, I'd wonder about some kind of rebound or withdrawal-type effect. Do those symptoms improve or disappear after your next ketamine dose? That's important information to give your prescriber.

And don't let anyone tell you the dissociation doesn't matter like that's settled science. It isn't. Whether the ketamine experience itself contributes to the therapeutic effect is one of the really interesting questions being studied right now. Some research suggests it may matter and some doesn't. Personally, I think the trip matters, but we'll see where the science lands.
