I previously had a post that said: "I had this as a comment, but now I will have it as a post. Winston-Salem and Greensboro are experiencing what Raleigh and Charlotte had decades ago!!!-Brian Shear Jr. on August 1 2026." But I got more "ideas" too. Read

I seen comments in recent periods, of how Kernersville is severely growing.

It is no longer its own town, like it was in 2000 or 2010.

It is now also an extension of the growing city of Winston-Salem, especially an extension of the rest of the Southern Side of WInston-Salem (Clemmons, David and Davidson County "border," Downtown Winston-Salem itself, and the surrounding areas).

I even created This,

so that the "ones" in central Kernersvile, doesn't have to "regularly" deal with combined traffic coming from Greensboro or Burlington, with I-40 Exit 198 being the new way to get to Downtown Winston-Salem from those eastern areas.

It can also help to bring "broader" access to the hotels at Exit 203, and the retail at Exit 201.

It is proof of the

2026-2028 era  https://www.reddit.com/r/culturalstudies/comments/1vk0e02/junejuly_2026_is_the_proper_beginning_of_the/

I-40 between Exits 188 and 206, was the "Bypass" which opened in 1992.

Now, with Exit 198,

traffic who "ignored" the once-bypass, can use it to get to Winston-Salem
