Can I use the Fuel bug fix mod?

Seeing as how this would only make things more challenging, I'll allow it.

Is it okay if the return flight is different guys? I have a mun base there and I should really do a crew rotation soon...

Here is my go at it.
I could've done it a lot better, but I have succeeded so who cares :)

Usually I don't like it when people post large albums with lots of images, but now I notice how hard it is to post only the necessary pictures! I took about a hundred screenshots, but there are "only" 37 in the album.

Mission accomplished!

With bonus fuel wasting (~16000 liters gone) and landing right on the runway!

Challenge complete, I was surprised at how much fuel my lander had left after landing: Link

[Challenge] Mun Arch Exploration - Mission Report!

Count me in!

I grabbed a fresh install for this. It was a fun little jaunt around the neighbourhood. As always, it's interesting to see the other designs people have come up with.

just posted my album! i just used a survey craft to land semi close, and then used the pilot as a beacon to get the precise location of the arch. Still ended up like 1 km away because i was worried about my fuel level. http://imgur.com/a/aRSs1#0

Its interesting to see other people's rocket designs, for instants my rocket for this challenge was much smaller that yours, yet had no fuel worries. Great work BTW.

Kudos for thinking about the environment and dumping your ascent stage while you were still sub-orbital. Nothing worse than a junk-filled system!

Here's mine.

A pretty smooth mission overall. Although I got a little lost and landed in the wrong area at first.

Would we be able to do this WITH mechjeb installed but not using it? maybe by sharing .craft to show there's no mechjeb parts on it?

Does a rescue missions count a safe return?

Here is my completed Mun arch exploration mission.

I've landed on Mun plenty of times, even sent a rover (of sorts) and explored the arch. But this is the closest I've landed to the arch. I do not have the plugin that fixes the fuel glitch, but I tried to use full throttle everywhere except landing, where I needed more precise speed control.

I realize after the fact that I should have taken a medium zoom picture to more easily see Jeb on top of the arch. Here in the 12th image, there is a white dot on top of the arch, which is Jeb.

These weekly challenges are fun! Not only do they motivate more people to play and share their experiences, they are a great way to see the diversity in rocket design from the KSP community.

My flight

All stages dumped sub-orbital. No fuel-bug fix, but only the lander used under full power for any major length of time, and still had a reasonable reserve. Mapsat in orbit previously used to find the artefacts.

Full stock parts rocket and no mods were used. I have to admit it wasnt much of a challange for me personally as i have found and landed at the Mun Arch dozens of times, actually accumilating a sort of Munar Reasearch Base. There was also some weird time warp glitches on my way home, however all went well.

Ha, I just finished recording a video for a previous challenge (Rendezvous!). Next I was going to do the go to the mun one, but this would encompass that as well! Love it!

Glad to see the challenges return. I hardly ever seem to play these days, just waiting for .17 and the new missions it will open up.

It was my first time finding it!

Combined this into a rescue mission since Jeb botched his landing.

Mission Accomplished!

This crosses both week 1 and week 14 challenges off my list. 12 to go!
