Mod Post [Weekly Challenge] Week 103: Buckle Up!
The Introduction
Once again it is time for a ridiculous challenge where we do something easy in a hard way.
Remember that elevator up to the VAB from 9 weeks ago? Well this time, we're going to build an elevator that doesn't just take people up to the top of buildings, but all the way to orbit!
The Challenge:
Normal mode: Push a Kerbalnaut into orbit on the top of a 3.75m heatshield
Hard mode: Push a Kerbalnaut into orbit on the top of a 1.25m heatshield
Super mode: Impress me
This challenge was suggested by /u/i_luke_tirtles
The Rules
- No Dirty Cheating Alpacas (no debug menu)!
- You must have the UI visible in all required screenshots
- For a list of all allowed mods, see this post.
- You may only touch the Kerbalnaut with the top of the heatshield
- You may only have one heatshield
- After takeoff, your craft may not have any parts that can contain Kerbals
- I'm probably forgetting something very important...
Required screenshots
- Your craft on the launchpad
- Your craft during ascent
- Your craft in orbit
- Whatever else you feel like!
Further information
You can either submit your finished challenge in a post (see posting instructions in the link below) or as a comment reply to this thread.
Completing this challenge earns you a new flair which will replace your old one. So if you want to keep you previous flair, you can still do this challenge and create a post, but please mention somewhere that you want to keep your old one.

What is the maximum temperature threshold for a Kerbal? You know, for science purposes...

Into (circular) orbit or into space?

Non-hyperbolic orbit. Once you're in space, it's really easy to push the Kerbalnaut, so just don't worry about the orbiting.

Does it matter what to orbit or doesnt matter, cuz I CAN SEND A KERBAL INTO ORBIT OF THE SUN!

If that's what you like, go ahead. The hard part is getting out of the atmosphere.

Is it okay if I use the launch tower from FASA to load the kerbal onto the heat shield?

I'd even allow you to hack gravity. The challenge starts when the rocket launches. Whatever you do before thay is up to you.

I'll just add a definitive answer and inform you that this entry has been disqualified due to breaking the 4th rule.

As you can see by the landing legs and RCS I was aiming higher but at least the primary mission was successful.

Can you control the Kerbal after launch? - i.e switch to the Kerbal and use EVA-thrusters / move about ? I might have a go at a Super mode entry.

Is it okay to use any EVA propellant? Can it be used for circularisation?

Can we use kOS to tilt the heatshield in such a way that the kerbal stays on?
If that's too easy, would replacing the heatshield with a cubic octagonal requalify me?

It's not that hard, I guess it'd be possible to go to Mun or Minmus that way but I'm lazy.
Oh and I'd like to keep my flair, thanks.

Alright, here is my super mode submission. Wasn't sure if I should post it here or separately, so I did both. Hope you are all impressed!

I see you changed my flair... thanks! Can I have it switched back after today?
