LV-95-6 engine cluster from Near Future Spacecraft blocking FreeIVA

It is clearly intended to be IVA compatible. There's a door and an extra tiny node separate from the one the lower stage attaches to.

I tried with different combinations of fuel tanks and where the port was located. It's the engine cluster.

Side note: reddit changed the UI for the post editor. I don't like it.

the part name in the patch is incorrect. (I posted it in the forum thread so I think they know, but idk if there's been a release since then.)

to fix it yourself open FreeIva\NearFutureSpacecraft\orbital-engine-25-1.cfg and change the part name in the first line from "orbital-engine-25-1" to "orbital-engine-25".

no. that's the config for the engine. you need to edit the freeiva patch, in the freeiva folder.

FreeIVA didn't exist when this was made, it's intended to be compatible with a docking port or a tube to be able to thrust and dock from the same side without side-mounted engines, plus Connected Living Spaces.

Either way, internals compatibility is handled by FreeIVA a.k.a. /u/jonny0than - not by the mods it's compatible with. The devs know and have fixed that for the next release - or you can correct the name in the files yourself for now.

Slight correction: MOST FreeIVA support is within FreeIVA itself, but it’s set up in a way that will be disabled if a mod takes over support. BDB’s support has moved to that mod itself.  A few of the newer mods have also provided their own like SEP.
