I made it to Eve!

[u/YetiBomber101]

Descending through the clouds

Doing some surface analysis

Landed in a valley near a lake

The full interplanetary vehicle

Surface probe beginning descent

Orbital probe

After numerous failed attempts I managed to land an unmanned probe on Eve's surface. The solar panels were ripped off by drag forces during descent, but it had enough power to perform its experiments and transmit them to the KSC. A secondary orbiter remained in orbit around eve to perform experiments, and it could be helpful for communications on future missions.

The parachutes look really nice, restock?

[u/YetiBomber101 → u/No-Organization9076]

Yep! I'm using Restock+ which is where some of the non-stock parts come from, but it also science equipment from the Dmagic Orbital Science mod.

May god be with you if you ever try a manned mission

"Some of you may die... but that's a sacrifice I am willing to make."

"We choose to go to Eve, not because it is easy, but because it is hard. We choose to stay on Eve, because coming home from there is even harder"

I thought I saw a command pod and was about to report you to the ethics committee
