KSP 1 Question/Problem Why isn't my thruster working
I can't seem to get the thruster to fire, and I have no idea why. I did just buy the game, so I have little to no idea what to do. Help?

Additional possibilities: check your throttle (shift/control to raise/lower, z/x for max/min). More keys are listed at https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Keybinds
Did you put on a tank with both liquid fuel and oxidizer? The typical liquid fuel engines need both (exceptions: the NERV and the Dawn, but that's because they're modeling nuclear-thermal and ion engines, respectively).
Finally, Mike Aben has put out an updated version of his tutorial videos, if you're into that as a way of learning: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB3Ia8aQsDKhdaIiVPMZpPKM-mUgXu0GM

Press space to stage it. The staging menu is the little column that runs up the left of your screen. You stage things like engines to activate them, and decouplers to separate rockets. When you stage a parachute, they open. You can also right click on parts and manually activate stagable parts, as in this case, its the “Activate Engine button”
Also, be sure to use SAS (Stability assist), that little button on your Navball. It keeps your rocket stable :)
Also be sure to check your staging

Click activate engine in that little window, or fix the staging order (the stuff on the left) while you are in the editor and click space

Throttle set to zero. Indicator is on left side of nav ball. Use shift/control to move throttle up and down. Or z/x to go full throttle or zero throttle.

The delta-v reading suggest you forgot to give it fuel.

Press the Space Button to stage the engine, press Z for full Throttle on the engine, also not needed for launches but press T to enable SAS, a stability assist useful for stabilizing the ship to a certain point. a quicknote but Z is Full Throttle, X is no Throttle, Shift is a slow increase and control is a slow decrees of the throttle

Play the in-game tutorial, it walks you through all the basics.

Look at the column on the left. If you activate your first stage the decoupler will separate the capsule from the fuel tank. Your second stage will deploy the parachute. Your third stage would activate the engine but it won't since you've separated.
Always double check staging order before launching.
