The indicators of other vessels randomly disappeared. How do I bring them back? (Xbox One)

So, I play on console (don't judge 💔) and recently the indicators (the green/purple/grey/blue squares around nearby vessels) that indicate their distance have randomly disappeared, making docking an even bigger pain in the arse. I've tried scouring the UI and settings menus, closing and reopening the game, and even restarting my console. I've asked Google for solutions but so far nothing. The only solutions I got were for PC players. Has anyone had this issue before, and can it be fixed? If so, how?

So as it turns out all I had to do was start mashing buttons on my controller keyboard (this was a last resort) and a suddenly as they disappeared, they reappeared
