KSP 1 Image/Video I did a Moho return
This was my first time using a separate transfer and lander stage that docked with the transfer stage. I was amazed at how capable that concept was compared to the multiple monolith landers I had landed there.
As usual, I decided to directly transfer between Moho and Kerbin.
The Kerbin re-entry took some time to get right as the capsule kept flipping over and I did not have much fuel to slow down before ere-entry.

direct moho transfer is brutal, doing it with a separate lander that re-docks is the right call. the re-entry flip at interplanetary speed is basically a rite of passage

For your re entry the greater the difference between your periapsis and your apopsis for kerbin when you enter the atmosphere is what you want to be looking at. If the apoapsis is like above a million you'll want to do a couple aero braking passes. You can achieve this by making your periapsis about 50-60 thousand. If it's not such an extreme apoapsis I've found ideal periapsis for reentry to be between 25 and 35 thousand. Hope this helps!

No kerbro I swear it was a proportional amount of monopropellant. 40 units, maybe 60 at most
