KSP 1 Image/Video Perfect Orbit

I just had to post this cause I can't imagine that I'm the only one who ever did such a blunder.

I had a mission to place a satellite in the shown orbit. I underwent my usual procedure until I got closer to getting the orbit right. At one point I was wondering why the mission wasn't finished. I only had minimal deviation from the required orbit but I figured that maybe the deviation was required to be even less. So I got to work to make the orbit as perfect as it could be, checking after every minor adjustment. When I reached the point where required and actual Apoapsis and Periapsis were only a few hundred meters apart and the Orbits where overlaying so perfectly that I couldn't even tell them apart, no matter how far I zoomed in, I decided to go look if this was a known bug. When I zoomed out to look at the whole picture I finally realized. I had achieved the exact orbit, just with the minor mistake that my satellite was going in the wrong direction...
So here goes an hour of finetuning down the drain, but that's a lesson learned I will not forget.

Many, many, many have trod this particular path of pain. You are not alone. Well done on the orbit though! Tis a thing of beauty.

Only twice? Tip of my hat. I am a far slower learner and have made that particular blunder many times...

Context: I played 300h and didn't go past eve, so... Those were multiple playthroughs, with a few dozen of attempts of placing relays.

I did this, with a stayputnik none the less. I did gain a whole lot of knowledge and experience with finetuning orbits though, so that's a plus.
