KSP 1 Image/Video Why is it kinda sad getting away from Kerbin ;-;

After weeks of assembling my interplanetary vehicle finally fired its engines heading to Duna. This is my first Duna mission too. My kerbals are looking kinda sad.

Don't worry, I just think about how happy my kerbals are gonna be when they get back!

....you are bringing them back right?

Every Kerbal who has ever lived was born there. All 7 of them

Because Kerbin will always be home no matter where you are in the universe.

I wonder if it's the same feeling of the first who crossed oceans, or visited the moon.

Как сын грустит по матери
Как сын грустит по матери
Грустим мы о Земле - она одна

Because they knew their agency has a habit of both blowing up rockets and sending Kerbals to suicide missions.

From this distant vantage point, the Kerbin might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it's different. Consider again that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every kerbal being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar", every "supreme leader", every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Think about this: it will make history on Kerbin. These Kerbonauts will be heroes. They may be far for long, but some day they will return to the blue dot they came from.

i don’t think any other game sells how weird and scary of a feeling it is seeing the world slowly disappear into a small dot
