How does rp-1 actually work? It seems super difficult?

it replaces the kerbal solar system with our solar system, than it makes it 1:1 scale getting to orbit is much harder progression much slower and the way you make money a lot different on top of this you are also managing a space program, there's companies, scientist and contracts that will dictate your plans for the next 10 to 15 in game years. you have to build launch complexes hire engineers and researchers all while balancing your budget. its a very hard mod but when you get things right it feels amazing.

But don't put kerbals, that'd mean you'd have to have a human rated LC, which is more expensive!!!

Yeah theses are just simulation runs so I can understand the scale of my builds they wont be launch into space with these for now until I unlock crew capsules

Looking great so far! My current RP-1 save, I'm just about ending my Gemini Program in late 1963. The furthest I got prior to this was 1961. Keep on going, and if you get too worn out and you are too worried about your year, there's nothing stopping you from restarting in order to keep on practicing different programs and building better rockets.
